I'm not sure about 100% details. I know that Oliver Sykes (from Bring Me The Horizon) is apparently being sued because a 12 year old got like beat up in a mosh pit. I'm not sure if all mosh pitting is prohibitted from this point, I just know that by law BMTH cannot say Mosh Pit or Wall of Death anymore. I just heared this from pupfresh.com which I find a reliable soarce. If you want to look up yourself for more reliable and direct info, go ahead, I would love to hear more on it.

Okay, what does this have to do with anything? "Daddy's little girl?" This is so stupid. I can't even see where you get this connection.
I haven't seen much news on this, anyway. But if mosh pits were to be banned, I'd be perfectly fine with that. People have died in those things.

Frankly I would welcome it quite warmly. I'm a metal fan but absolutely hate the idea of mosh pits. I have never once even slightly wanted to be in one. It just looks... pointless to me. I go to concerts to watch the band and enjoy the music, not flail around like a banshee.

well now thats not fair for the hundreds of other people that enjoy mosh pits. people know what they getting into when they go into a mosh pit THEY ARE FLAILING AROUND WITH A HUNDRED OTHER PEOPLE. do they expect to come out in perfectly safe condition? no. and everyone that goes into a mosh pit knows that very well. except for the twelve year old, apparently.

Even if a person wants to get hurt, you shouldn't justify it. You know very well why they are dangerous. People have died in them and severely injured. You can't tell me you don't want death traps like these to be banned.
Maybe it's a metal thing.

Anyway they aren't banned, this news in inaccurate, no one on the Vans Warped Tour is allowed to say the words "Mosh pit" or "Wall of death" to avoid lawsuits.

NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO MOSH AND HAVE FUN AT METAL CONCERTS ANYMORE BECAUSE MOSH PITS HAVE A "RISK".
That is the most retarded logic I have ever heard.

It's like I'm not allowed to have an opinion without being called out on my "retarded logic." Look, I don't think these things are safe, so in turn, I think they should be more heavily regulated than they are now. There's nothing wrong with my opinion. Stop being a douche.

Let's not have any personal insults, please. This isn't even a debate thread. It's an interesting topic, and I would hate to have to lock it.

Well, I'm sure that this is going to end up like a, "Hey guys, I'm sorry but you can't smoke weed here" kind of thing. I mean, if you go to a concert, there are people smoking weed there. And it's frowned upon, and they tell you to stop, but no one really cares because you can't force a thousand people not to do something. It'll blow over.

You can't have fun enjoying the band that you paid money to see? You can only have fun flailing around aimlessly?
And by the way, if that's "retarded" logic to you then you must not like laws in general. Tons of things people find fun are banned because they're risky.

My point was that hundreds of fun activities have risk, some much greater than that of a mosh pit. Most physical sports are more dangerous than mosh pits. Of course you can have fun watching the band you paid for, but you can have more fun bashing about in a mosh pit, why? Who knows? More importantly, who cares? Fun is fun. So yes it is retarded logic, and it's hypocritical. Mosh pits only hurt those that participate in them, no one else, if you don't want to mosh, no one forces you to.
I'm assuming you people aren't fans of metal.

I can see both sides of this. Yes, I love metal and really want to go to an Avenged Sevenfold concert (if you don't think they're metal enough, screw off), but I don't know if I'd want to be involved in the moshing. I don't want to be the guy that gets hurt at my favorite band's concert. But hey, if people like it, let them do whatever they want. It's their choice to participate and ours to stay away. No big deal.
