My boyfriend and I were invited to a party at my friend's house and there's gonna be alcohol. I've never drank before and don't know what to expect. Any advice?

Well you won't get drunk with one beer also I suggest you stay sober mostly because you could get into trouble with the law or your parents, and if drink to much you could get alcohol poisoning.
umm be safe....

I wouldn't drink to much if its your first time. I'd especially stay away from harder alcohols and stick to something light such as beer because if you've never drank before you won't have any kind of tolerance level.
Keep a clear head and know when to stop because if you don't you could do something you regret.

Honest to god, don't go. I seriously mean this with everything I can possibly mean.
You're 14. You're way to young to drink, not to mention 7 years under the legal limit here. Even if you're just at the party (as in not drinking at all), if the cops come and people get busted, you are still at fault even if you weren't drinking. If you're in a place with alcohol, illegally, you're at fault. No getting around it.
I know it might not be 'the cool thing' to do, but think about it - do you really wanna go down that road of illegal partying and underage drinking and risk yourself? How would you feel if you got busted by the cops? Your parents? You really wouldn't get much out of it, and you'd probably end up regretting it.
I can't make you do anything, however I really, really urge you not to go.

The best way to avoid getting into alcohol-related trouble is to not be near it. Especially when you're 14. So if you can avoid going, I'd advise you to not go.
But if you have to go, go with the second best way to avoid alcohol-related trouble: don't drink alcohol. Get a non-alcoholic drink, either there or bring it with you. And don't leave your drink unattended, regardless of the drink.
But seriously, the best thing you can do is to not go.

I think you're right. I think my boyfriend and I are gonna go see a movie instead :D. It's a bunch of seniors anyway. Nobody that will be at the party will be my age

Well in case you do go, I will tell you.
If you decide to drink, make sure you have food in your stomach, that will prevent you from getting drunk too fast. When your stomach is empty you will get drunk much more faster.
