Is he interested?

I've fancied a guy for a bit of time now, and I decided to tell him this. He gave me a very confusing answer. At first, he says "Yeah, I like you". Then he says, "I don't know". Afterwards, he stared, kept glancing at me, and always wanted to be near me. The next day, was pretty the same stuff, except he acted a little more normal. And his brother kept grinning at me and acting funny around me, then my crush would gesture for him to stop it.
I was really confused, so a week later I texted him, and he responded in less than a minute and he sounded really excited. Anyhow, I replied a third time and he didn't respond at all. Is he trying to say that he's uninterested? I'm perfectly fine if he isn't, I just want to know what his feelings about me.*

Btw: He's not shy. Very outgoing, and buoyant.

From what I just read I'd say he's unsure. One moment he seems like he likes you, and the other he's the opposite. Maybe you should give him some time and then ask him how he feels about you?
