Hi,guys!
I'm 13 years old and I'm old enough to have a Facebook profile. But,the problem is in my parents, especially my mother. They tell it's stupid and dangerous and they are convinced that I don't want have it.In my class,I am the only boy who doesn't have Fb with the couple of girls.I could create the profile, but I don't want to hide it from my parents. How can I convince my mother, who's like the boss in our house,to let me make a Fb profile?
P.S.It is like a mission impossible so I need really convincing reasons.

Facebook, Twitter...social networking is a big deal these days. everyone has one of those. It's not just about sharing pics and posting updates, but it's easier to contact your friends if you can't call them, or see them...stuff like that.
I don't think it's smart to hide it from your parents, though. They're going to find out eventually. Just tell them that's it's not dangerous. You're not gonna add strangers to your friends list, you just want it to keep in touch with friends. That's as convincing a reason as any.

If you have a cell phone, tell them that FB is cheaper. ;)

I use Facebook mainly to get in touch with old friends and to communicate with kids in my extracurricular activities about events and such. I hope she lets you, just don't get addicted!

Hey dude, tell them that Facebook is not dangerous and tell them that it is safe but if I where you, don't bring the topic up all the time otherwise you might end up with a nasty reaction......

My best advice is openly discuss it with your parents and offer for them to watch you create it. Chances are they don't know what facebook really is, I mean do they have one? I doubt it so show them what its about.
I'd also be mature about the situation as getting whiny or upset won't help matters. I also wouldn't create one without your parents knowing because most likely they'll find out and it'll get you in trouble.
