Speedos in Queensland, AU

Does anyone here live in Queensland Australia and wear speedos to the beach? I'm wanting to do it but not really sure on the social standing on them, I know in America they hate them D:

If you do wear them do you feel comfortable in them in public? any stares? I wear them when lapping in public pools but not beach.

i don't like speedos and i think if you're on the beach it's better to just wear board shorts, but in the pool they're fine. it might look a bit douchy if you wear them to the beach i think.

That's changing here in the states. More guys are wearing speedos to beach than before. None of that thong stuff. Personally I don't care what anyone else thinks they are the best for swimming and tanning. My two bros and I wear them and our parents buy them for us.

i agree. me my brother and our friends wear them on the beach now. much better than board shorts.
