So, I've been cutting on and off for 5 years now. I would cut in rare situations when I'm angry, upset or sad, but lately I cut every day. I don't feel anger, and I'm not sad - it's just I want to do it, so I don't think twice. I guess it's because I'm under huge pression these days because I'm studying for a big test to enter the faculty I applied for and I'm so scared that I won't have enough points, and then when I think about that I want to cut...and it feels better when I do. And I tell myself that if I get in I won't cut, but If not then I tell myself that I would cut more and more.
But the point is: I cut few times a day, every day and it feels so good but I worry that I'll get addicted if I cut that often...
I just needed to say this, cause my mum would kill me if she knew I cut again and my best friend never found out that I cut so I really don't have anyone to talk about this.

It's tough that you don't have anyone close that you could turn to for support :(
I cut every day and it's kinda a habit, I don't think twice about it and it feels so good, like nothing really matters.
Try shouting into pillows or clutching ice-cubes to get some release of tension instead of cutting.
Try not to put so much pressure on yourself to do well, if you don't pass then it isn't the end of the world
Good luck :)

My ex-girlfriend started to cut after we broke up... I rode 10 miles on a bike to convince her to stop, and my mom says I don't try hard enough in relationships :/ Anyway I know the affect it can have on the people around you. The next day I tried to commit suicide, I have to say that cutting my wrists did feel good... I passed out but the blood clotted before I could die. So I guess I might know both worlds. It's not worth it, find something that makes you happy or even just occupies your time, and don't think too much before you go to sleep at night, you said that you have a big exam coming up? Throw yourself into your studies. Hope that helps some. Good Luck :D

I do study, this is the most important thing now in my life, but it's hard...I don't go out, cause I have to study, but last couple of days I've been studying less than usual, because I'm tired and the pressure is getting bigger, and in those moments when I cut I feel better....I don't feel the pressure and I also feel like I deserve it, 'cause I could maybe study even more, so this is my punishment in advance if I don't get in.

Why do you cut every day? Is it cause it's just a habit now, or do you have moments when you feel something so you need to cut in order to wash those feelings away? Sometimes I cut without any obvious reason... pillow doesn't help me...never have, never will :\
