The title says it all, I have a few ideas, but I do not know which one I should develop, tell me which one you think has more potential or could be developed into a book.

#1. Disoriented - A horror story about a man who has woken up in a mental hospital with no memory at all. A mysterious thing is after him and he has to escape the mental hospital and find out who he is. All the personnel of the asylum seems to be missing and the place itself seems to be changing. He must piece the puzzle of his identity and escape the place as well.

#2. Death's Memoirs - It is a story about the impersonation of Death, the rider of the pale horse and fourth horseman of the apocalypse, talking about his origins, his job, his friends and enemies, and what he must do during the apocalypse.

#3. Forgotten - When a man or woman is stranded after a plane crash and finds in a random island a futuristic, yet almost abandoned and collapsing city with insane inhabitants that have rare abilities. This is the least though out of the three ideas yet could develop even more.

3 sounds like Bioshock, but if you could make it your own it could be a great story.

All ideas are inspired by a videogame now that you mentioned it, 1 by Blackwell's Asylum. 2 by Darksiders II. 3 by Bioshock.

Okay, I think that #1 has been done too much. It sounds like a cross between Forgotten and The Maze Runner. You could make it a good book, but you'd have to throw in some original ideas.

For #2, Again this has been done over and over again. Also again, this could be turned into a really good book, but only if you could capture death in a new light. I'd suggest reading The Book Thief, and seeing how the author uses death to narrate the story, and getting some ideas off of that.

#3 Sounds like you're best bet, but do NOT make it sound too much like the t.v. series LOST. Because that's what it sounds like now. I would say, add a few more characters, cause you'd have to kill off someone and you don't want it to be the main character. And I would make some kind of romance between two characters. That could set the way for an interesting plot twist later on.

Hope that helped!

Sadly, even before I read what games you were inspired from, I made connections to the second and third one, but for the first on, it reminded me of amnesia. don't know why. But if you intertwined all three ideas. something like this:

is about death, who gets deserted on an island, gets put into a mental hospital, escapes, and has to get back to the other horsemen, but in the setting of the third idea.

#1 sounds the best to me... It makes me think of a Stephen King novel :)

I was thinking of Clive Barker but yeah, it does.
