UFOs: Fake or Real?

Now this isn't a debate over whether or not there is life on other planets, its a debate as to whether or not UFOs are real. Are these people merely seeing things, is it just space junk/an asteroid/meteorite or is truly something unknown, something never seen by mankind before, something that possibly may never be seen again. So what are most UFOs? Are the ones that seem to be proven (i.e. ones that have been photographed/videotaped) hoaxes? Or are they real? What is your opinion on UFOs?

I think It's all fake, either made up junk, or other things mistaken as UFO's

I can't really say either way
I HIGHLY doubt it
and I know for a fact statistically speaking if we have been visited by real aliens as often as all these sighters claim we would have some serious rock hard solid proof by now
so ALLOT like 99.9999% I feel very confident are fake that doesn't mean that there liars allot of them truly believe thats what they saw...but the mind likes to play tricks
now as for that other 0.0001%
can you prove without a doubt aliens have never come to earth in recorded history?..I can't


When your dealing with a complete unknown
its never a good idea to make such a quick decision


Allot of them could be explained through simple conventional means (planes, weather balloons, blimps, satellites, meteors...paranoid media induced delusional nightmares, etc..) and ALLOT are fakes created for attention

but theres still that shred of unknown

Yeah, I saw a special on USOs on the history channel yesterday, and I actually believe it makes more sense that if there are more complex life forms in our galaxy, that they actually inhabit our planet, that they live in the deepest depths of our oceans. As USOs are being spotted more and more often now. (A USO is an Unidentified Submerged Object, there was a famous case in 1967 in which 13 people in Nova Scotia, including two police officers, witnessed a strange-shaped object lit up by lights emerge from the water, then hover above the water, then dive back down, and then several minutes later, they another object of similar shape with slightly different color do the same thing. Spottings of USOs date back to Egyptian times, though so do spottings of UFOs.) And every time there is a "crash landing" the government seems to step in and remove whatever crashed from the scene. (In Pennsylvania a "UFO" slammed into the ground, the gov't. stepped in before anyone could do anything, loaded the large object onto the back of a truck [with a cover over it], and later claimed it was just space junk, without any proof of it. There was also a case in Puerto Rico, in which something strange came emerged from the water, and then smashed hard into the ground. The same thing occurred, the Puerto Rican government stepped in and removed whatever had crashed from the scene). The question is, if these things are just space junk/meteorites/etc., why is the government so secretive, why do they try to cover these things up, pretend that they never happened. Why do are they secretive about Area 51, why do they step in whenever there is a UFO sighting and say it was probably space junk, etc. The fact that they are so secretive is what makes me believe there is a slight possibility that UFOs, or USOs, are real, and that they are possibly something unknown to the common man, though not necessarily the work of beings from other planets.

I believe there are SOME UFO's but not all the sightings are real. Some may be people looking for attention, mistaken aircrafts, etc. But there I think there are UFO's.

oh aliens are real. foreign species 5 million galaxies away are probably asking and questioning our existence. no, not hollywood aliens. we probably have a complete misunderstanding for what lives past us. we can hardly even land on a planet, let talk about what's on it.

oh and to the topic...ufos are a fictional scam, it ties into like goblins and george bush's logic. :lol:

Again, the topic is aliens.. There is a 99% chance that there are planets out there in other galaxies/an extreme distance away from the earth, that have life on them, possibly more or less complex than humans. But the question is, have we really encountered them in the form of UFOs? Are some of the UFOs that we see truly aliens? And if so, where are they coming from, how is their technology so advanced that they can travel so far, as to our awareness, as far as we can send our technology, there is no life, thus they must be coming from farther away than we have the ability to send spacecraft. Another thing I've been wondering is, what if UFOs are unmanned, just ways of checking in on the planet, examining it, etc. (again, if they are real in the sense that they contain or were sent by foreign beings).
