What is your opinion on North Korea (The Democratic People's Republic of North Korea), perhaps the most communist country left in the world? And what's your opinion on Dear Leader Kim Jong Un?
First, let me just say how ironic the countries name is. North Korea is anything but democratic.

Saying it is the most communist country is actually wrong, Cuba has the purest form of communism even though it doesn't come close to true communism. My opinion is that they suck at football (real football not gringo one) and that their dictator is an incapable person.

Not even communism really, just a military dictatorship. I just hope the North Korean people are one day able to rise up against the regime, other than I think we should isolate them until they stop with the nuke threats and propaganda threats. We shouldnt even send them food aid or anything, if you have enough money to launch missiles and shit like that, you should have money to feed your citizens.

The people of North Korea will never rise up because the only ones who get food are the ones that directly serve, and are loyal to, the government.

A true communist country is a country in which:
1. The state is the biggest employer
2. There are elections
3. Personal property does not exist
4. You get as much as you worked for
5. Lack of currency, you get in supplies and electricity as much as you worked for
Now, that is impossible in humanity's current state, but the most communist country I can think of was Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY, ceased to exist) or Cuba. None of those were close to the real thing, but were closer to communism then the regimes in the Soviet Union and North Korea. North Korea is a monarchist fascist dictatorship painted in red. The US is more communist on that matter.

North Korea is a relatively weak nation. Besides there numbers in military personnel which is twice of that of South Korea. A war with North Korea alone with US, South Korea, Japan, and possibly Taiwan. Would be an easy campaign just like in the 1950's. However if China back them up and sent 500,000 angry China men at our forces. We would we be outnumbered on a major scale.
Did somebody say something about North Korean people rising up and getting rid of aid for that nation. Are you crazy? A large percentage of people and whole generations of families are locked up in coal mines. The offspring of those families in those mines will stay in there too. The massive majority of the nation eats mud pies, and if their lucky potatoes. If the foreign aid was to stop to North Korea, a large population of the nation would die. That's like pulling the plug on somebody in the hospital.
The only hope for North Korea is if China actually helps them since they're allies. Or if the nation is over thrown by an outside force. Everything else is extremely unlikely.

Let's see, what is a communist trait that you have and North Korea doesn't? Elections! I just stated that the US is more communist since North Korea has strayed into monarchist fascism in it's purest form. And, I find it funny how you use the term 'developed world'. I wouldn't say North Korea is communist. They can call themselves that all they want, but they have flawed communism: there is a huge gab between the wealthy and poor. There are millions starving and then there's WPK members living in luxury in Pyongyang. A true communist society would have everyone equal.
Obviously they call themselves communist and claim that the 'juche policy' leads the country while obviously its the military and the Kim family's inner circle. The CIA calls it communist because the DPRK calls itself communist and sort of falls in this weird void where it can't really be called anything. I could call myself an alien from Zulu; however, I am not.

That is why China isn't communism. They started as communists, very true, but just like any other communist system they got corrupted as well and this is their current situation.
In order for communism to work, not just one country, but all countries must be communist.
China got affected by outside capitalism and it was very natural for their leaders to say "Hey, we want money too."

But it shares similarities with communism such as communal farms which have caused millions of people to die of hunger due to rations equaling a handful of rice, they have a strict work based structure- a bell goes off at 7 in the morning in cities to wake up and get workers to go to the Factories, sounds similar to your ideas of forcing people into work does it not?

For example in Britain someone goes to university for 4 years and then gets a degree, do they then want to work in McDonald? No so they stay at home and don't go to work.

Your going to need a war for that to happen,I mean Russia had problems but WW1 pretty much confirmed it for them. Back then Lenin and the party thought that communism would spread across the whole of the world but it didn't. A new world order through communism isn't going to occur without ww3

Isn't this thread for discussing North Korea?
...
Regardless, I'm going to disagree with the OP that North Korea is communist. It's merely a hereditary dictatorship with a ridiculously über-outlandish revanchist familial head and a juche nationalist-esque ideology that is dedicated to the eradication of the once poor South Korean state and the incorporation of that state into once-great 'Best Korea'.
Of course, I'm rather irked that people call them 'communist'. As if.
And I'm also irked at the amount of North Koreans that cross the Yebu into Manchuria, but that's another discussion for another time.

North Korea definitely needs to change it's name sometime soon. I think that they need to transition into a different kind of goverment. Go from Dictatorship or a Totalitarian government to a republic or a PROPER Democratic government.
BTW; I'm glad this thread hasn't become racist towards North Korea as many other people (including Hollywood directors) have.

How is despising the way a government is ran racist? How is it racist to despise the fact that leaders of a totalitarian government are letting their own people starve to death in concentration camps and forcing them to do hard labor? If despising the idea of an authoritarian government is racist, then I don't want to be right in that regard.

Hmmm, their policies are not even 95% of Marx's teachings so they are not communist. They are closer to fascism, Nazism and state capitalism, since everything is controlled by the state, the state is controlled by the party, and the party is controlled by Kim Jong Un. That is even further then Lenin's Soviet Union. And what is there laughable? The fact that if it works, humanity will achieve perfection?

Nobody gets the marble staircase. It gets traded for more flats. If a Socialist World Republic is formed, everyone would live in decent-sized flats (120 square meters, enough for a let's say 5 people family). That is because the wealth of 1% of the richest population would get redistributed. That means 100,000 dollars a month to everyone working since the wealth that 1% controls is about a hundred times larger then the wealth of the other 99%. And the only resistance would be coming from the richest which might hire mercanaries.

They won't move away, any smart businessman or women would have they're office located in a tax haven such as the cayman islands.
Your argument also has the problem of raising taxes so low to appease the rich that you end up receiving hardly any, remember 30% tax on upper income families gets more money for the the economy and also has less of an impact on them compared to a 30% tax on low income

Agreed. Without a distinction between rich and poor, there is no incentive to innovate, to work hard. People would (and did in the USSR) realize that they wouldn't benefit at all from working or trying because they'd get fed anyway. Now if you implanted chips in people's brains or drugged them to make them altruistic...that would be cool. But with selfish humans as we know them, they need financial incentives to make them as efficient as possible, and that necessitates a system other than socialism.
