What does real time mean?

So at the PS4 unveiling it was talking about a certain video game and the Asian guy said "remember this is in real time" as if its something cool or something to brag about. Doesn't real time mean online?

Real-time means it is happening right at the moment, take a strategy game, Starcraft II happens as you play it, the enemy moves as you play the game and so do you. Now there is turn-based strategy games like The Battle for Wesnoth, that is not in real time.

it could also mean, say if there is some kind of cut-scene/event happening in a game (for an FPS, say a helicopter arrives in the campaign mission and you get on it) In COD, most of these scenes are pre-made movies that are played to you, but in other games your computer is physically rendering out the images and moving the characters.
