You don't need medicine because that won't speed up the growth.
I've never heard of this before. So I really don't know what to say

No medicine. Have you gotten any pubic hair at all?

There actually are medicines that can help start/speed up puberty if it's delayed. At 17, if you're barely in puberty or not at all (no pubic hair), you may want to talk to your doctor about these. There are some steroids that you can take, if your doctor prescribes them. The treatment kickstarts puberty.
But don't worry, save for some really rare genetic disorders (you'd know it if you had one), everyone goes through puberty. :)

Go to your doctor, they will give you a referall to the likes of an endocrinologist.
If it suits the situation they may put you on a course of growth hormones. This usually consists of 3 shots over 3 moths, that should get everything going.
but then you have to wait the normal course after that.
I recived them at 15-1/2. I had sdden growth in height, grew pubic hair, but at 17 I still don't have underarm hair, not weight growth (only 55kg) ect.... Sucks hard.

ok, if you are really concerned about it, see a doctor to make sure everything is ok. but most likely you are a late bloomer and probably have nothing to worry about.

I don't think that it's your business that you know but yes I do.
Other than that I have heard of no medicens for puberty. I thought that if you had to take steroids if you were in a situation like this.

Call me crazy, but I'm willing to bet he was talking to the OP...I mean it's just a feeling but...

Pubic hair is generally the first sign of puberty. If someone doesn't have pubic hair by 17, it's the best sign that there may be developmental issues. He was asking the OP and it was a reasonable question. :)

The first sign of puberty is testicular enlargement (pubic hair comes later, and is often mistaken for the first sign of puberty because it's often the first visible sign of it).
Assuming you've seen a doctor for check ups and the like, he's probably have suggested an endocrinological work up if he suspected a problem. if you've got pubic hair, then you're into puberty. Maybe not as far as you'd like (or expect), but there, anyway. You might want to ask your dad about his development, as these things often run in families.
Also, there aren't 'medicines' that are given to speed up puberty, they are human growth hormone, the same stuff you make.
