I would suggest telling the truth. I don't know what kind of relationship you have with her, but if it was a good one, I think she would help you through it.

I hope he notices, that way she can get you some help! Cutting is always a bad thing, cutting on your ribs, wow. It always concerns me when I hear that it's not so much the cutting that scares people, it's getting caught. Tell your mom, or get caught, get some help! You could die!

if you really just need to buy some time, hide the shirt or have a friend wash it for you... but you do need to tell your mom, or talk to someone about it.

Well if you really need to wash your shirt so she doesn't see spray/soak in some stain remover and scrub the blood out.
But I HIGHLY recommend you talk to someone about this and get help.

I agree with getting help. Believe me, I prefer that for you more than anything else.
But if you really must cover your tracks, wash the shirt yourself.
Or get one of those Tide-To-Go pens and get rid of the blood stain.
If your mum gets curious because there's still a stain there, tell her you cut your finger and wiped the blood on your shirt. Cut your finger if you have to.
I don't approve of the last remedy, but it's something I would have done.

i think that you should tell your mum. its going to be really hard to do, but it can only help. trust me, i recently told my mom. it didnt go as i expected. i thought my mum would be really angry; but she wasnt. she was uspet because i didnt come to her sooner but that was it. your mum will only try to get you the help you need.

i mean, there will probably be alot of crying on both parts, but your mum would rather have you tell her whats going on instead of a third party. it can only help

My parents didn't cry when they found out.
They were worried, yes. But they didn't cry.
I think my mom cried the second time I was committed because I tried to run from the cops that wanted to Baker Act me, but that was it.
It's best to just tell the truth.
But know that if you do, you're in for a long, hard road of recovery.
I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you: it's going to suck.
Sometimes you'll wish that you didn't tell anyone at all.
But in the end, it's worth it.

There is no other way to get past it so you have to tell her that you cut yourself.
