Profile Picture

Hi! Why when I post on a thread my old profile picture appears next to the post? Is there a way to make sure my new one replaces it? thanks :)

That is your avatar photo. If you're uploading a profile picture it won't change your avatar, you need to do that separately.

First off, let me explain the differences between a profile picture and an avatar.

Your profile picture appears only on your user profile and not on your forum posts. For example, you can view my profile (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/member.php?u=11619) and see my profile picture is myself playing paintball.

However, an avatar is what appears beside each and every one of your posts on the forum. For example, my avatar is the "holy cow" picture.

To edit your profile picture you would go to your User CP (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/usercp.php) which is located in the top right corner above your post here. Once in the User CP you need to look on the left side menu and find "Edit Profile Picture." (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/profile.php?do=editprofilepic) This is under the tab "Your Profile." This will edit the image in your profile.

To edit your forum avatar you would also start by going to your User CP (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/usercp.php), except this time you need to find the option "Edit Avatar" (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/profile.php?do=editavatar) under "Settings & Options" on the left hand side. Doing this will edit the small image beside your posts.
