Ok by 'gay phase' I'm gonna assume you mean you've been feeling attractions towards guys. There's no way of knowing when this will end, or even if it will. It's natural to have these feelings in puberty and to be confused by them. If it makes you uncomfortable, just don't act on your feelings and see if you outgrow them. All in good time.

Yeah, most likely this phase will last a lot longer than a month. But there is no telling, so you're really going to have to wait it out.

It's hormones working on you. It might last a while but the main affect is the hormones.

Well its really just puberty. your hormones are making you curious about homosexuality and you'll grow out of it when puberty is over and your comfy with your sexuality

'gay phase'? what? if it continues you are probably gay there is nothing wrong with that, its the way you are born and you can't change it ... so yeah thats that.

Lately, I've been noticing Chris__Robin has been claiming that people are gay, despite whether they are or aren't.
Can you describe gay phase a little clearer? If you're born straight, and you've been attracted to the opposite sex your whole life, then puberty is probably causing it.
People don't turn gay. There have been tests that have proved homosexuality is related to genetics; that it may run in the family.
I don't know what else I can say to help you through this.. It kind of sucks, I know. Just know who you are. So many people have different ideas on the subject. Too bad hardly anyone replies to threads like these.

It's always important to judge the worth of someone's advice or recommendation by how objective it is, what their sources are and how reliable they are, and what their motivations are in offering them. This is particularly true in an online setting, because all you really have are the words on a screen and your own instincts about them.
I'd recommend you read Serenity's really excellent (and very well researched) sticky on 'Am I Gay'?. I think it might answer many of your questions, and you can trust the validity of it as well.

i'm saying what i think because most of the straight people here who give advice keep telling everyone it is hormones so, it might be nice to hear opinions from someone who is gay. all i said in my post before is that if its a phase relax it will go but if it doesnt then there is nothing wrong with being gay. im not going around telling people what they are but maybe stop trying to protect people from the truth - what they came here for.

What? "You are born gay"? Are you serious? I don't know how you think that but you are not born gay. It's hromones. I don't know where you get that people's sexuality is determined when they are born. It's called free choice and it doesn't mean that you are born gay.

The truth is, no one really know what causes sexual preference. A lot of times, people tend to accept the 'advice' or opinion of others based more on what they want to believe or what makes them feel better about themselves.
Very often, people confuse their own need to feel better with objectivity.
The point remains that we are who we are, regardless of where that might come from or who's responsibility it is (or how many times they've re registered to make that point). Most reasonable social scientists who've done the research tend to believe that whatever you are, the overwhelming effects of puberty make it difficult to determine with accuracy exactly what you are before puberty's concluded. A lot of very normal urges and thoughts and desires can be easily misunderstood at this confusing time.

gee umm maybe i would know because i AM GAY
don't even fucking start here icantdance, obviously you are are an ignorant straight idiot. ask any gay person male or female they will tell you gay is not a choice.
do you think that gay people in the middle east who are executed by hanging just for being gay made a concious CHOICE to be homosexual knowing they would be killed in such a brutal way? doubtful? do you think i would CHOOSE to succumb to the homophobic losers who start gay bashings, stabbings, discrimination? no obviously i didn't and neither does anyone else who is gay.
that's all i have to say about that.
fucking idiot.

Free choice? Mmmm how about no. I didn't choose to be gay. Why would anyone choose this way of life?!

Well first off I would like to thank Anthony and Alex for telling that to Chris__Robin. Thank you for the help but I think I can handle myself. I meant that in the best way possible. Now on the side of free choice I think I over reacted on that one.

No one assumes you can't handle yourself but its the staff's responsibility to resolve disputes and troublesome members, not yourself, so let's get back on topic.
