Ok so I'll start out by saying I'm a 14 year old boy.
For About 3 years now (as long as I have know her) I have had a "crush" on this girl, lets call her X. X is pretty, smart and really kind. For these years we have been friends. This last year though puberty too a hold of me and I really started to like her. Just as a close friend nothing weird or sexual just a close friend that I can count on and hang out with and be close with. Well school ended a week and a half ago and I live about 45 minutes away from her. Saturday a mutual friend had a graduation party and we never really had a close time rather just we were all having fun, talking Nd playing. Later that night her and another mutual friend, lets call her Z, facetimed me Nd we were talking. Well eventually X and Z started badgering me to know who I had a crush on (I think Z knew). After much resistance I told them (via snapchat at this point because FaceTime was acting up) that it was X. I hen asked them the same question. X responded with a friend of mine (I don't really care though). Now it has gotten AWKWARD! At a pool party today I pretty much completely avoided talking and looking at her. Yes I now know I should have acted normally. But I didn't. Then a few hours ago I texted Z. She told me that during the party X whispered to her that I hadn't said anything to her. Z then said (since I hadnt texted X since Saturday) that X Sadi she wanted to just forget about it. I texted X Nd said ok that sounds good enough, she replied with ok. On July 6th she is having a party aNd I had already said I would go. I now just want to know what do I do. When next should I contact her? How should I act next time I see her?
