I guess you would consider my boyfriend and I a long distance couple.
He only lives an hour away, but my family doesn't own a car since we live in a small town where literally EVERYTHING is in walking distance from us.
He does have a truck, but he has to fix the wiring in it because the last person who owned it messed it up.
His dad has a car and a box truck but only lets him use it when he says it's ok (his dad never allows him to bring his car to come up here to see me).
I saw my boyfriend in person (for the first time as a couple) for about a week last month (him and his dad came to my town to work at a car show).
We've been together for almost 6 months (known him for 3 years seen him two other times, but not as a dating couple), we Skype every night and talk every day so it's not like it was the first time ever seeing each other face to face.
Him and his dad are supposed to do another show at the end of this week and he doesn't plan on going so his little brother will be able to earn extra money. His dad will leave his car at their house, so my boyfriend wants to use it to come pick me up and have me hang at his house for the weekend.
My mom has met him and says she already welcomes him into the family and trusts him with me (that's a big thing for her to say).
How would I go about convincing my mom to trust us both enough to let me stay a weekend with him alone?
We're NOT planning it because of sex, we're planning it because I don't know when we'll see each other in person again.

Also he just turned 18 in April and I won't be 18 until October so there's no huge age difference
