Hi guys,
Me and my girlfriend have been in a long distance relationship since we met 6~ months ago. We both live in the United States, but merely 1,000 miles apart. In 3 weeks I'm moving back to Texas, where I am originally from, and she is going to move with me once I get an apartment (already have a great job opportunity). The thing that is kind of nerving to me is what my parents will think of us moving so early; She's 17, I'm 18. Her parents it is no problem, she lives with her mom and she's pretty neglective.. which is the main reason she is moving with me. My parents and sister will probably get on me about how it's a bad decision, moving right now and being on by myself (well, and her). How would I tell them about it all?
They already know about her of course, and they know who she is, where she is, etc., but I feel like they'll be kind of nervous about the situation. My dad, for years has always doubted me and my future, which I honestly don't care about, because I make more money than him (he doesn't know, lol).
My sister moved out when she was 17, and she went to live with a friend, so she knows the situation.. but my sister is pretty stuck up and just acts like an idiot about it basically. My mom and stepdad (who I'm going back to for a week until I get my own place) understand and will help me as much as they can, they're really nice people, but telling them about my plans will be kind of odd. Will there be any issues with her mom after my girlfriend moves with me? Since she's 17, her mom is technically her guardian, even though she isn't really.. heh. Is there anything that we need to do first before moving?
