I've heard A LOT of different opinions on the movie, and wanted to know what you all thought of it!
I actually rather liked the movie, but I hated the book.

I liked the movie, but I haven't read the book, so idk what people from that perspective think of it.
I don't know what the perks of being a wallflower are though, since they never said.

I thought it was a pretty great movie but mainly because of Emma Watson and the girl who played his older sister. i forget her name even though i know she is on vampire diaries

The book just spoke to me. So much more emotion filled. You get so much out of a good book. But the movie made me so happy, because its like, I always imagined what the book would like as a movie, and it was perfect.
When I was younger, I was molested by my uncle and I've never been able to get close to adults ever, so I really connected to the story line of this film/book.
11/10

I connected to Charlie so much in the book. I loved the way it was written, the way Charlie thinked, I felt like I knew him. So I had high expectations.
The movie was alright. It was missing A LOT from the book that I thought was important and connected to the most. Charlie cries a lot in the book and he only cried once in the movie, so that was disappointing.
Although a lot of important stuff was missing I really liked the movies because the actors were soooo attractive and great at acting!
Id give the movie a 3/5

You hated the book? What did you hate about it?
I loved reading the book. It was a fun read and I thought it was well-written. I couldn't necessarily relate to how Charlie was feeling, but I could get an idea of how things were for him. I'm sure if you go back and re-read it with the ending in mind, the book becomes clearer.
On the topic of the movie, Ezra Miller and Logan Lerman were great. I enjoyed their performances. Emma Watson, on the other hand, was alright. I feel as if she could have done much better. A lot of the cast looked different from how I pictured them, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The movie took out a lot from the book that I felt should have stayed in. A lot of important parts were taken out from the book. It was a good movie, but it was an alright adaptation. It was better than Percy Jackson 1, that's for sure.

I tried reading the book but I never just "picked up on it" (you know that feeling you get when you're actually interested in the book) so I just watched the movie. I LOVED the movie. It shows a really accurate image of what high school is like and how you can feel at times and the different situations you could be in. The thing that I disliked the most was at the end I was left wondering, "So what's going to happen to Charlie in 10th grade?" Since his friends all went off to college at the end of the movie- he would be a "loner" once again. Overall it was a good movie, definitely worth the watch.

I came here just to search a post of this movie. I saw it for the first time 2 weeks ago and I'm starting to think I'm obsessed with it. I have watched the movie 5 times since then because I wanted everyone to watch it with me. I got so connected and felt so identified with the movie, it became my favorite and taking in account it is a drama/romantic movie, that's a goal (I hate romantic movies). I'm gonna read the book so I'm waiting my cousin to bring it to Venezuela from Usa because I doubt I get it here. I just wanted to share this with you guys. I just felt so identified...bye guys :B
