Hi, I'm 18 and I need some advice on this guy. This will be long but please take the time to read!
Last August I started in a new class in a new school. The first time I really noticed him was when we had our class photo taken. He was placed next to me and I just though he was really cute but at that time I had an interest in another guy. It didn't turn out well in case you wanted to know...
Anyway, so we were in the same class for a few months. I quit after Christmas Holiday because of an illness (I'm fine now btw). I've never talked to him in the time we were classmates. I've noticed he has been looking at me quite a few times though.
As I said I quit school and in February I decided to say something to him on Facebook because I felt like I would never get the chance to see him again. I think it was the most stupid thing I've ever done... I said hi and asked him if my class knew that I had quit (I was usually absent alot so ppl often wondered if I had quit). I also added a "sorry to bother you" at the end, awkward!... He answered, not saying hi, but telling me that our teacher had told them I quit, with a smiley face. I don't really know what answer I expected to get, it was more of a stupid way of trying to start a conversation with him, which I failed miserably at. Nothing's really happened since this but I've just taken notice of that he has been liking some of the same pages on fb right after I "liked" them. I know we have some of the same interests, he's a gamer like me.
On Saturday I went to a local concert. I met up with some friends I hadn't seen for a while and I saw him there. So I obviously stared at him alot in hope of catching him looking at me. It seemed like he did notice me but only looked at me when he thought I was looking away. One time he stood in front of the stage and I was sitting behind him by some tents. We "accidentally" made eye contact when he turned around and I was looking at him, not paying attention to the band... He turned around in my direction a few times after this. Seemed nervous too, he was fixing his hair and stuff. He seems very shy in general so I can't tell if he's just not interested or... yeah, just really shy.
So I want to know... would a guy still be crushing on me after THIS long, even if we haven't even had a real conversation?? How do I tell if he's just extremely shy or simply not interested? I don't want to seem weird or creepy but I feel like we could make a good pair and I want to know if I should forget about it and move on or try to initiate another conversation?
