I'm thinking windows8, its not as bad as people say, its simple and easy to use also i really like the performance tweeks in it. I do like the start screen, its quick and simple to navigate, i use to hate windows 8.....Now i love it. Whats your best OS and why...?

7. Basic and powerful.
Not a big fan of 8. XP is just archaic.

Seven is pretty solid.

Windows 8. I thought I would hate it. I'm actually getting used to it. The start screen (I think thats what its called) is actually pretty nice. Plus you have the desktop (minus the start button), but other than that its actually pretty easy to use.

I like seven. It actually looked nice. Eight is too dull in my opinion.

I was a fan of vista until I got 7 - I like the 7 on my computer, thinking of when I get a new laptop giving 8 a chance then getting a copy of 7 and putting it on it

I was using 8 for a few months on my PC, but I finally decided to reinstall my PC and go back to 7 a couple of weeks ago. I like 8's speed, but it's just too unstable for gaming, and in the end, that's what's most important to me. I'll give Windows Blue a shot, hopefully they've fixed some of the issues that bugged me.

Best OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Reason?

It's more modern than XP and isn't shitty like Vista or W8.

XP is the one I've had the most experience with, pretty much using it from when it came out until Win7. Win7 is the next best thing, I'm building a new computer soon and I'm not sure if I'll be using Win7 or Win8.

If you haven't, try windows 8 out on some display computers in a tech or office store. That helped me decide that I didn't like Win8 :P

I tried Win8 this weekend. It was too confusing, so I'll stick with my favorite, Win7.

I have all of them (and Windows 2000), and I have to say in my opinion, Windows 8 is very good for searching, messaging and news etc; but I still prefer Windows 7 because it's much easier to use for general use.
Also, on Windows 8; I hardly ever use the Metro interface, I like the desktop.

I use 7 with Omnimo/rainmeter cos I really like the metro look of win8.

May get round to a dual boot with a Linux os soo.

Windows 8 by far. I may be in the minority, but I actually don't have the metro start menu. If you are really annoyed by it just get something like classicshell or start8.
It preforms better/looks nicer than all previous windows in my opinion.
