I tried to ask out the girl I like by saying if she wanted to go and meet up at the shops (I chickened out when trying to actually ask her out and said to meet up at the shops). When I saw her after saying it I saw her letting out a smile and then saying yes. After she seemed to walk closer to me and started to talk to me a bit.

Did I ask her out the right way so that she knows its a date or did I do it the wrong way? What does her actions indicated about what happened?

If she said yes, then you must have done it the right way. By the way... She KNEW you were afraid of asking her out, so she felt flattered most likely. You did the right thing. :)

Well if she smiled at you, then she probably knows. There's no way to know 100%, but if you are going to a nice place like that with a girl.... then it's a date. :)

she didn't smile at me. She smiled at herself after I told her.

Does anyone else have any advice. She also knew I like her before I tried asking her out.
