New Pokémon Type; Fairy

Well, I heard about this when it was officially announced but never saw a VT thread about it.

For those who don't know, for the first time in 10 years Nintendo has decided to add a new type of Pokémon. This new type is Fairy. While the new Eeveelution will be this type, some other Pokémon such as Clefairy, Marill, and Gardevoir will change their types to fairy. With the addition of fairy type Pokémon dragons types have gained another weakness.

I think I'm goanna cry because I love dragon type pokemon and also fire type but anyways I will just catch a fairy type I think it is very cool

Dragon-type Pokemon are too overpowered. I'm glad Game Freak finally decided to give them a weakness. When I originally heard about it, I thought it was lame, but the idea of the fairy-type has grown on me. They certainly won't be overpowered or underpowered. Hopefully the game feels more balanced.

So far, the Fairy-type is only super-effective against Dragon-type, and has normal attack and defense for every other type.

As well as other Dragon type Pokémon. This leaves Dragon types with three weaknesses in generation VI; Ice, Fairy, and Dragon.

I'm disappointed as it kind of takes away from the offensive force of Dragon types. Since Gen I they were always heralded for their fearsome abilities and lack of weaknesses. Now they've obtained a list of new pokémon which can effectively hunt them. I'm waiting for a Dragon-Fairy type in gen VI or gen VII now.

I meant that Fairy-type has no weakness and its only strength is against Dragon-types.

Yes, Dragon-types are weak against Ice, Dragon, and now Fairy.

Whoa this is a drastic change, it's been the same types for so long I wonder if this will be taken positively by the community.

I think it is a good concept, but the execution is probably going to be horrible, then again, I haven't played anything past Ruby/Sapphire...
