why arent stories permitted in threads

I noticed almost every time someome starts a thread with a story or someone posts a story in a thread, a mod comes along and says 'no story telling allowed' and locksthe thread? i thought that was a bit unfair

This is a help site that isn't ment for erotic story telling because story telling a type of porn. I understand where you're coming from though. I wish I could do a lot of things that seem harmless, but actually do some damage over time.

This rule mainly applies to the Puberty101 forums. It's there so that people don't create erotic literature and inappropriate conversation regarding puberty. Since we're a help site, that kind of conversation isn't permitted, it's rather getting the point and asking the question rather than other posters talking about their own sexual experiences. Besides, we don't want to attract the wrong crowd to VT.

fair or not that is the rule. there are sites with stories if that is what people want. to answer your question about why no stories are allowed, I can't say for sure but my guess is cuz storytelling would bring out the pervs. this isn't a porn site which storytelling could turn it into. just my guess tho.

The reason we don't allow stories is because 1) It isn't really puberty related 2) It is classified as erotica and it would attract many unsavoury characters to virtual teen and thus we don't allow it.

Oh, yeah; that confused me for a while too. If you're in like Planes, Trains and automobiles, and you want to tell a story about like how you got your first car or something like that, then there's no issue what so ever.
