So I use the Banana Boat Self Tanning Lotion Fair-Medium Skin Tone.

What I want to know is, what can I do to prepare to go swimming tomorrow?

From my understanding, tanning lotions stain the skin. So the only thing I need to worry about is the extra lotion that's sitting on my skin coming off into the pool.

Should I take a shower before I go swimming and then reapply a small little bit on?

I just wouldn't use it at al, if you are going to swim. it its not gonna come of, it is gonna feel horribly weird on your skin in the water

If it's a good tanning lotion, it will come off uniform form the skin, once you're in water. Or it won;t come off unless you scrub with soap/gel.

Stains form only right after you applied the lotion, due to unequal amount or the absorption of the skin (some areas absorb lotions more difficult than others)

That is what I have been thought, it may or not apply to everyone.

But, if you're concerned about stains, you should take a shower before going swimming. Don't forget to scrub really hard on all your skin. It will fade away the lotion, and if stains will somehow appear during your swim they won't be as obvious.
