So got my report card and found my GPA for this year is 3.92 so is that good or bad? What's your GPA? Also found I made honor roll. Haven't made that since like 4 years ago!

Thats a good GPA, whats your rank in class? A GPA is good and all, but I think the class rank is more important. Last year I had a 3.5ish GPA and was 15 so yeah. But its really good to have a 4.0 GPA, I guess it is possible to get higher than 4 just I'm not sure how.

At my high-school, Honors and AP classes are weighted more, meaning a B in an Honors course is an A in a normal course. For that reason, it's possible for me to have a GPA of higher than a 4. I think I have a 3.91 GPA and I'm ranked 23 out of about 350. I think the Valedictorian has around a 4.5 GPA.

I'm not sure about the rank. When school gets back in session I'll ask. Less then 100 kids in my class so tight competition! I just finished up my sophomore year. I'm hoping to go to SMCC for college. Yes I'm a Mainer. :-)

Woah really? thats like my class as well. I think I might go to CMCC first just to get a couple required classes then onto Orono or something.

Ah nice, I'm only going to CMCC first if I cannot take another language next year/ if I get a scholarship or something. So far I think orono is the best college for what I want.

3.92 is almost a perfect GPA. I am not sure what mine is, I'd guess about 3.8 (I was fairly ashamed. I am an honors kid doing that bad)

Yep, 3.92 isn't bad at all. At my high school that'd get you on high honor role :P However, our GPAs are calculated out of 4.5 (we also don't have "-" grades), but regardless, that's definitely something to be proud of :)

First off, congrats!
Altogether, that's a greatly above GPA. But there are many other students who get we'll above that GPA, some even achieve more than a 4.0, such as a 4.7 GPA.
With that GPA, you could get into a very, very good college. Maybe even an Ivy League college!

I got a 3.83 so you did about 0.1 better than me :)

Great job! That's an awesome achievement and you should be proud. But in all honesty. That's not enough for an Ivy League type school

Nice job! That's awesome that you got on honor roll. My GPA first semester was 4.5 and second semester was 4.492. It went down because health class was unweighted.

That's pretty good...mine was a 3.8 last but I'm pretty sure it went down after this past year

Yeah, 3.92 is really good. I mean, from a 4.0 scale, thats like 2 B's or something. But if you made honor roll, then you obviously did something well

3.6. The damn C- from Chemistry really messed up my GPA. That class was the absolute worst!

A 3.92 is really good, hell, you have a higher GPA than Prince William when he graduated.

for the most recent final i got a completely unexpected GPA of around 4 (weighted, obviously). it was really surprising since i normally don't get good grades, and i didn't really care about the finals.

That is excellent!
Unfortunately for me, MY GPA is a 1.54 or 1.45, something like that. I have ADHD, and until the end of this past year I never had a working 504 plan (accommodations for those who don't know). Hopefully I can pull it up in my upcoming senior year. Otherwise quite frankly, i'm screwed.
I did however score a 1660 on my SAT, which I plan on re-taking in the fall. I can do better, knowing now what to expect.

I have a 3.4 GPA unweighted so I probably have a 4.4 GPA weighted but a 3.92 is a great!

Well typical GPA is a 4.0 but some colleges in rare cases has it up to 5 which is max. It is more frequent in high schools tho as some AP classes tend to weigh more than regular ones. So your GPA is superb and that's why you got in the Honors list/roll. keep it up!
