iBook G4

My sisters middle school is selling their old laptops. Happens to be the iBook G4 and it has over 40 different programs on it and has OS 10.5.8 for its specs... Coming with the case, power cord and adapter. Final price is only $35.00 so my question is would buying this be a good deal?

Depends. Are you strapped for cash? If you have just enough, consider what you might need the money for later. Otherwise, if it seems like something you'd really like to have, then by all means, go for it.

But be aware, as time progresses, it will become more and more useless. Software for it is probably hard enough to get for it right now, which will only disappear in the coming years.

For $35, not a bad deal. There is still a lot of things you can do with it, but that will become limited over time. I think that if I didn't have a laptop, I would spend the $35 on it, but with that said if you have the cash, I'd go for something newer. iBook G4 is at newest like 2005, so that's getting pretty old...parts don't last forever either...
