New Xbox Slim/Mini, pretty pointless this stage in the game.

I found this unboxing video of the new xbox 360 slim and it compared it to the previous xbox model which is also very slim and I can't help but think why on earth Microsoft released a console that was extra slim/mini at this stage in the game.

It seems pretty pointless if you ask me. I mean with next gen around the corner it just doesn't sound logical.

I might be missing something though so you know....

Makes sense. Microsoft seems like even with the somewhat lackluster competition of the other giants in console gaming, Nintendo's Wii U and Sony's Playstation 4.
