excited but sad too

At the end of the month I will be moving in with my dad for three months...most of you don't know but me my dad and mom all sat down and made a deal where I would stay three months at a time with each parent now that I drive. Mom technically has custody of me but understands I want to spend time with dad too...it is always exciting when I move to one or the other but it makes me kinda sad too cuz I know I won't see as much of mom when I'm living with dad. I guess that's the way it will be until I live on my own

I can understand where you are coming from and I wish you the best in this transition. What can make it easier is you can call her often and perhaps visit with her for a bit on weekends.

That's gotta be tough - my Dad is 100% out of the picture so I'm super close to mum - couldn't imagine ever being away from her so long!
