Can there be a forum or something like that where people can post profiles where other people are uploading pictures that aren't really them. Its hard to explain. I think you get the jist of it though. Ive been noticing quite a few people using pictures of people that arent them and claiming them as themselves, so. Just a small suggestion.

There's no need for a whole new forum just for that. If you see people using pics of other people that aren't them but are claiming it's them in the pics, you can report them to a moderator/global mod or admin

That sounds like it would start a bunch of name-calling to me, and could upset a lot of people.
My avatar picture is obviously not me, but then again I'm not claiming it is. I would honestly be upset if someone felt that they had to make a thread about that.
Also, how would you be able to prove anything like that?

Well usually if the staff suspect someone of being someone they aren't, they ask for proof in a number of ways. If I'm correct, it's a picture of you holding up a piece of paper with your profile number on it, but that may have changed to a video call but I'm not sure. I know with staff, they have to prove they are who they say they are, so whatever procedure is used for that would probably apply to situations like this.
Public shaming? That is not a good idea. If you think someone is fake just talk to a member of staff, shaming publicly does nothing in situations like this and is best taken up privately so I don't like this suggestion.

Nope, that defeats the whole point of a forum. Just simply report the person if you think they're claiming to be the person. As already said as much as I would like it I'm not Leonardo DiCaprio but hopefully I won't get reported :P

Do you want a forum for pedophiles, forum for Spam bots, forum for people who have taken a shit today?
A new forum isn't always the solution.

This sums up anything that I'd have to say about this pretty nicely. For every reason Siobhan said, this isn't a good idea.

I don't get it.
Report the profile, move on. This isn't needed.
Simple.

The whole idea, What is she is asking?

That has nothing to do with it.

OP wants a new section where people can post who have put up pics of people they're claiming to be them but aren't.
Ex:
User A's pic is ____ and s/he's claiming that that it's him/her in the pic, but I don't believe it.
Something like that. Not needed, as you can just PM a staff member if you're suspicious.

Just click on the red triangle with the exclamation point in it. It's under the user information on every single post.

While that would be entertaining, I don't agree that we should have such a forum. At a website I moderate we usually handle things like this by requesting a salute. If they do not send a salute within 24 hrs then we remove all photos and follow with due process. The staff here probably does something similar. But yeah I don't think public shaming would be the right thing to do. Let the moderators take care of it. :-)
