What happens after you die? What happens after an animal dies? If heaven exists, can only humans go there? If only humans go, then what seriously happens after an animal dies?

Anyways... I don't really believe in heaven or hell... I believe that once you're dead, you're dead. There's just nothing left. I want to believe in reincarnation or that you come back as a human later on, but the idea seems a little too absurd to me. I really just wonder what happens after you die... Do you just fade away? You're no longer there. Just a soulless body lying in a grave.. I really just have trouble understanding what truly happens after you die... And to add to this.. Do you believe in ghosts? Poltergeists? Other death-related phenomena?

The raw matter and energy changes

Neither matter nor energy can be created or destroyed only changed from one forum to another

Everything dies
even stars

As far as what happens after
Nobody knows
What makes you, you?
Is it the electrical impulses in the brain? or the chemical reactions? both?
Would you really be you without both?

In the end its a journey everything takes
whatever has a beginning must in turn have an end
But is death really the end of a journey?
Or just another beginning?

Nobody knows
Countless civilizations and billions of people have tried to figure it out
honestly I hope we never as a species find out

There are somethings i don't think should be so simply explained

I believe in Heaven and in Hell. It follows that upon death, the body and soul separate. The body returns to dust and the soul is immediately judged by God. The soul can then either be sent to Hell, Purgatory, or directly to Heaven.

Animals do not go into heaven. This is because an animal does not have a spritual soul. They have material souls. Once the animal dies, both its body and soul die as well.

I believe we rot and turn to soil, same for animals. Heaven does not exist. Froma Christian point of view, animals dont go to heaven because they have material souls. I dont believe in any of that supernatural bullshit:D

Its not supernatural its spiritual and I believe that there is a heaven and hell and that what you do on this world decides where you'll go and i also believe in purgatory which is right in between, but thats just me I also believe that one day zombies will rise and eat our brains

There's a Christian interpretation that says that animals do not themselves go to Heavens, but can be brought into the Kingdom of Heaven as "material joys" or something. I'm not a Christian so I might be bastardizing that concept, but it goes along those lines.

I seriously don't understand why animals can't go to heaven or hell. HUMANS ARE ANIMALS. Why are humans special then? Why is it only humans that go to heaven or hell? And since there are different religions who believe in different Gods, which God is it that decides whether you go to heaven or hell? Is there a different heaven for Jews and Christians, or based on the Christian religion, are all Jews doomed to hell? This is why I don't believe in heaven and hell, its too fucking confusing and doesn't make any goddamn sense!

I am confused by this. Do you not realize that "zombies will rise and eat our brains" is totally inconsistent with the belief of yours in Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven?

God is omnipotent. Since all souls belong to Him and He created them originally, then that means he can re-create them. An animal's soul will die upon the death of the animal's body. However, when we receive glorified bodies on the day of General Judgement, we would only hope that God would bring into Heaven--in soul and glorified body--the animals we so loved in our earthly lives.

Humans are special because Heaven is the eternal reward given by God to us out of love. It is through obedience to His Word and faithful love and service to Him that we might receive that gift. An animal, though, has no sense of conscience or morality. An animal cannot reason between right and wrong. An animal does not have a concept of "sin" and cannot choose God.

Jesus Christ suffered on the cross to save all mankind from its sins, thus winning for us all the promises of Heaven. An animal cannot commit the moral wrong of sin and thus would not need to be saved.

Thus, a heavenly reward for animals would be unjustified.

Well, first off, I believe Heaven does exist, and we have so many clues around us. I mean, how could someone look at everything and just say it was all a coincidence? And for me, I know that when I pray to God with an Honest and Faithful heart, he ALWAYS answers my prayers whether it be now or later. So, since I know God exists, when I look at the life of Jesus and see that He was GOD, I believe the things he said, such as the fact that there is judgment and that everyone will be judged by the Lord Himself: “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” Revelation 3:5

I could not have said it better myself. Also, everything he says is supported by textual evidence (the Bible).

I'm starting to side with David Icke. The lizard people did invent religion to cause conflict. It's all a lie.

Seriously, I won't believe in heaven and hell until someone can scientifically prove it. I have trouble believing anything that doesn't have SCIENTIFIC backing. So some book says something. Where's the proof? I'm not even sure which book contains more truth, David Icke's book about lizard people who rule the world, or the Bible.

If you don't know who David Icke is, he's a nut who thinks the world is run by lizard people in a group called the Brotherhood which is headed by the Prison Warders which include people such as George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton, all of British Royalty, and Boxcar Willie. This is his site...: http://www.davidicke.com/index.php/

I'm an atheist and strongly believe their is no heaven or hell.
I do see the point of religion though (when used correctly, not like extremists or "holy wars")

if you asked me before september 2006 i would of said, you die, you rot, your gone.
but since ive had 2 friends die and my grandma, i cetainly believe that i've felt the precence of them with me on some occasions....
i'm not saing they're ghosts, i dont believe in ghosts,
and i dont know about heaven and hell....
i'm just sayin i've felt them lookin over they're left shoulder...and when they arn't there, there can be a certain emptyness in a room that is only filled when they turn up, when i need them.
