So I've gone out with this girl twice and this Saturday we're gonna go see a movie together and just generally hang out. I really like her and I think she's into me (I think she would've declined a third or for that matter a second date if she wasn't).
Last time we saw each other, I really wanted to hold her hand, but I just chickened out. I really want to try on our next date, but I'm not sure if that's acceptable or not.(I'm pretty new to the whole dating thing :) )
Should I try to hold her hand?
If I should, how should I? Should I just go for it or should I ask?

ps: Yes, I know everybody's different, but I'd just like some general ideas from people.

If its your third date why not? If you really like each other and youre watching the movie, you can slowly get your hands closer until you hold and then see if shes okay with it, thats what i did

I would go for it if I was you. But it also depends on how well you know her. For instance, I usually know the girl very well by the time we're on our third date so I would be a bit more comfortable trying something like holding her hand. It sounds like you're still a bit a sketchy, but then again nobody ever knows for sure. You're going to have to make some leap of faiths once in a while when it comes to dating, it's just the way it is.

From my perspective, I love it when a guy holds my hand.

I wouldn't do it during the movie, I would make it something to remember, even if it's just hand holding. I love the little ways guys can make something like that into something really romantic.

With my first boyfriend, we saw a movie, and then decided to walk around a bit afterwards. That would be a perfect time, when you two are alone.

He said: "Do you want to know a secret?"
I said "Go ahead."
And he said "I really want to hold your hand right now."

That did it for me. Turn it into something cute, something that she'll remember.

Important**: If your hands are really sweaty, wait until they're dry to do it. I've gotten the sweaty hand before, and wasn't exactly ecstatic about the idea.

Yeah I was thinking about holding her hand after the movie. We usually end a date by wandering around town with each other, and that would probably be the best time to do it.

That sounds good, I'm sure she'll love it!

Before you do anything though, make sure your hands aren't super sweaty.

Yeah, that would really kill the mood :)

If you are going for a walk after it then that is probably your best chance, just let your hand knock against hers, but keep it there and begin to try and hold it, if that makes sense, then if she picks up on it you should be holding her hand within a few seconds :)

Atleast that's what happened when I first went out with my last girlfriend
