Lets cut to the chase...

Gameplay 8.5/10
It is 1947. You assume the role of Cole Phelps, a military veteran working his way up the ranks of the LAPD. While the campaign is very fun, there is not much to do after you beat the campaign. In free roam, you have the option to either respond to street calls or drive around in your awesome 1 of 4 sweet looking detective cars.

Sound 9/10
The sirens and horns sound great. Not to mention the dialogue sounds really good.

Visuals 10/10
These are the best graphics I ever had the honor to look at. The game is a little laggy, and that's to be expected in a game that requires three disks to play different parts. LA is greatly Recreated. As well as the old cars.

Overall 9.5/10

Moral Review
THIS GAME IS NOT FOR ANYONE UNDER 13. I shouldn't even play it. It's full of violence, blood and language. Not to mention every case in the homicide part shows a brutally beaten naked lady with EVERYTHING exposed. That M rating is going nowhere.

Nice review, it was the only game that I've ever pre-ordered. I felt it had a really great storyline minus the ending which seemed a bit cliche. The streets look amazing and just the whole scale of LA is breathtaking.

How can the overall be 9.5 if all the other scores were 9 or below? Just wondering... L.A Noire was a good game, but not a 9.5, it would be an 8 - 8.5 for me. I love to review videogames myself, cutting to the chase is not a cool thing when you write written reviews.

I'd give it 8.0

I really want to give it a 9 or 9.5 because the game was very special, though I must be neutral when it comes to rating.

Though I must admit, I tried but couldn't play the game for the second time: Seemed to repetitive.

I have yet to complete the game as I found it slightly repetitive but I have kept it and go back and do a case every now and then.

I did like this game, however, it hasn't been the best I've played. I did enjoy the story line though, I would have liked it personally to have a lot more game time and a little less cut-scenes but hey we can't all have a perfect game.

This is one of the best games I've ever played. Easily fits in my top 10. The gameplay's unique. There have been a lot of games with similar mechanics, but few have managed to pull it off on such a grand scale. The story was great, and LA's atmosphere was brilliant.

What I meant by cutting to the chase was starting the review right away.

As for your question, I'm not sure where you got that info but some people are bad reviewers and give unfair reviews?
