Hello, here's the story of the testicular pain that has been ruining my summer vacation so far:
Last Thursday, I was having what they call a Nocturnal Emission, or a wet dream. Everything was going naturally, however, until I abruptly woke up before I could ejaculate. I knew that such an occurrence might cause damage to my testicles, so I decided that I had to masturbate, especially because I was very sexually excited when I woke up. I couldn't masturbate, however, because I had to do stuff for my parents. After I had urinated that night, I noticed a few droplets of semen coming out of my penis. I panicked and asked my brother right away. He replied that I had to masturbate, and that this happened due to what happened earlier that morning. After that, I masturbated and went to bed. I woke up the other day, with no pain at all, and that continued for a couple of hours. Then, the pain came back and hasn't left ever since.
The pain I'm suffering from is minor. It is one that I can ignore and enjoy normal activities. When I play video-games or talk to my friends, I forget about the pain. When I'm alone, however, this pain is all I think of or feel. It has been the only thing I have though of throughout the past week or so. The pain itself is in the right testicle. Sometimes it also causes my right hip and my right kidney to hurt. I also feel sick and tired sometimes. I have checked my testicles for any lumps, found none. Please tell me that I don't have testicular cancer.
What's worth mentioning too is the fact that all of this happened for me at the same time a friend of mine was diagnosed with a varicocele, which makes my brother claim that the pain I am suffering is one I made up myself. He says that I've become paranoid with this and that the pain is nothing serious.
I have tried a plethora of methods to get rid of the pain, none worked. Seeking online help is the last thing I'm trying before confronting my dad. The main reason I haven't done that yet is that I'm afraid he'd find out that I masturbate. Not to mention how embarrassing the whole thing actually is for me.
I hope you offer some help soon because this has been making my life quite hard. This is as serious as it gets and I cannot wait to finally be relieved from all the fear and concern.
Thanks in advance,
Your hopeless teenager.

As far as I know, you should definitely go to the doctor's surgery, or whatever it is where you live (I assume you're in America? I'm not xD).
You could say to your dad you've been having waist / stomach pain, and that you think you should go check with a doctor about it, so he sort of gets the message but doesn't think anything too... "weird" about it, then when you get to the doctor ask him to leave the room, and talk to your doctor about it (I'm pretty sure patient-doctor confidentiality prevents them from even talking about it with your parents unless it's life threatening), and they could try to prescribe something to help.
If it's been a consistent pain for more than a couple of days, it could be something that could cause serious damage (if left untreated), but in all likelihood it's not.
I still recommend you go to see a doctor, but try not to worry about it too much until you hear what they say. I know it's probably quite difficult, but if you've ever heard of the placebo effect, it can work the opposite way too (not just positives, but also negatives).
I hope I've helped, and I recommend you go see a doctor soon (like... tomorrow or the day after).

You should go get that checked out at a doctor.

Don't you guys think that I might have thought of this already? I just can't have my parents find out that I masturbate..

I'm not sure how well it'd work, but it should be... better than just saying to him "Oh, btw, the other day I woke up and had a huge boner and then couldn't jerk off, annoyingly, and then I got a pain in my balls, do you have any idea what's wrong?", whereas that (with maybe a bit more information) would probably be acceptable if you said it to the doctor.
Sorry that I'm not of more help, but... I'd say you need to speak to someone who has medical knowledge about it, in case it's something serious (which isn't likely, but is always possible).

It could be a Kidney stone. The pain often radiates "down the line" to your testicles, you did also say it goes up to your kidney area too.

First I've heard of it...
that this happened due to what happened earlier that morning.
Your brother is correct.
The pain I'm suffering from is minor. It is one that I can ignore and enjoy normal activities.
This tells me its nothing too serious such as Testicular torsion... That would be unbearable pain
Sometimes it also causes my right hip and my right kidney to hurt. I also feel sick and tired sometimes.
Perhaps just referred pain...and possibly psychological effects. Then again, it could be something like an infection.
I have checked my testicles for any lumps, found none. Please tell me that I don't have testicular cancer.
It is unlikely; given that you havent found any lumps
a varicocele
Very possible
which makes my brother claim that the pain I am suffering is one I made up myself. He says that I've become paranoid with this and that the pain is nothing serious.
This is just as possible. Its been known to happen for many reasons, and lots of people have had this issue.
The main reason I haven't done that yet is that I'm afraid he'd find out that I masturbate.
How would he find out unless you tell him? Saying your testicle hurts doesnt mean you masturbate. You dont have to give him the whole back-story if the pain is the issue.
Not to mention how embarrassing the whole thing actually is for me.
This is understandable; but as I just said, you could avoid embarrassment by simply saying you have a pain in your side, kidney and testicle... No need to go into detail as you have done in this post.
I hope you offer some help soon because this has been making my life quite hard. This is as serious as it gets and I cannot wait to finally be relieved from all the fear and concern.
Simple solution; take yourself off to the doctor. How old is your brother? He could take you if he's old enough (depending where you liev I guess)
Other than that, there isnt much else we can say; medical advice is probably your only solution.
But maybe, try forgetting about it... I dont know how, and I know its easier said than done; but if it is just psychologically induced pain, then by avoiding this thought you could technically 'cure' yourself.

Thanks in advance,
Your hopeless teenager.
Let me share this with you. I'm a couple of years older and actually not that self conscious around a doctor, but the only thing worse than talking to my dad about this would be talking to my mom about it.
Okay, so about 2 years ago I woke up and noticed right away that my left testicle ached on the top of it. I'm 14 at the time and really don't want to talk about it with anyone, so I just let it go. It was never a sharp pain, but an ache that I'd notice if I wasn't busy. Sometimes, it ached worse, but still not a sharp pain, when I walked. Light pressure on it with my finger made it worse it felt like a bruise, but there was no mark. So it bothered me all day and I just hoped it went away over night. It didn't woke up the next day with the same thing, but at some point in the afternoon, I forgot about it and realized it went away at some point.
About 6 months later, a similar thing happened, but this time it hurt a little worse, it was slightly redder than normal, warmer than normal, hung lower even though the right one didn't and it hurt a little more. It hurt all day. Went to bed, still hurt in the morning and went away at some point during the day.
A couple months later I had to have a physical to be cleared for sports and I thought of mentioning it, but didn't want to because my mom was there. As luck would have it, towards the end of the exam he asked my mom to leave the room and wait in the waiting room and he'd send for her if there was an issue. She looked surprised a little bit, but left. I thought uh oh, but at least my mom isn't in here for the next part.
Then he did a quick turn your head and cough thing, (check for hernia), told me everything was fine and said from now on he'll be sending whatever parent is with me to the waiting room so I don't have to be embarrassed about having a hernia check in front of them and more importantly so we can talk openly about anything for a couple of minutes and that I need to learn to trust him that he won't say anything or the the absolute minimum to my parents. Like if I need a prescription for something we discussed or found after a discussion. He said that I'm your go to guy, if you have a problem that you don't want to talk to your parents about, talk to me. And if something goes on between annual physicals, just tell your parents you need an appointment and they'll bring you in. Right now your mother is reading and signing a form that says sometimes teenagers don't feel comfortable talking about a medical issue with their parents and when that's the case, your child has been instructed to just request that you bring him in for a check up.
Then he asked if I had any questions. So I told him about those two times and he said something like, "If it happens again, tell your parents to make an appointment and he'll check it out, if I had to guess, it was either a mild infection that your body took care of on it's own and if it was that, I could have prescribed an antibiotic that would make sure it goes away quickly because an infection can get bad quickly and it would be a worse time for you. The other possibility is that the your testicle got somewhat twisted and it untwisted itself, but that can get serious quickly and you'd have been in severe pain. Those, if caught early can be untwisted manually. If not caught early, require surgery to untwist and if not caught early enough require surgery to remove the testicle and you don't want that do you? So he said, he'd guess it was a mild twist because both times in fixed itself during the day when I'm moving around and that I would notice more pain if it was getting worse, but wouldn't really notice a lack of pain".
The point of all this is as much as you don't want to go to the doctor, I'd reconsider because if it's an infection, it can spread. If it's a severe twist, which I don't think it is, you could lose the testicle. Also there's a chance your parents won't be in the room with you. And you don't need to worry about your parents finding out about you masturbating. That ship has sailed. They might not have caught you, but you're at an age where it's a given. At your age and my age it's one or the other: either your mom noticed you have wet dreams because of what is left behind on sheets or underwear or you masturbate. Those are the two choices in your parents mind.
I hope this helps you or others who read this have an easier time about making a decision as to what it could be and the consequences of inaction are. The kidney hurting you is a big concern. I didn't have anything like that.
Also, my parents figured out I masturbate at 13 or 14 when I had my first wet dream, but that's a different topic, but basically, my parents were aware of one wet dream and I haven't had any since and they aren't stupid. haha.

I can't think off hand of any way of online stuff, without self diagnosis, and causing unnecessary panic. Any advice here can be based on what we're given and most of us are not doctors.
In terms of your dad, you should be able to describe the pain in your testicles without necesarily mentioning masturbation (though TBH, he was young once so probably knows you do). Once you get past the embarasment of telling him (believe me that should only last a few minutes), it should allow you both the important part - arranging a visit to the doctor. Honestly, if the doctor finds nothing wrong, it will be a huge relief, and if he does, it can be delt with. Pain is the body's way of saying something is up.

On a side note, since there's now a few posts saying see the doctor, please remain calm - this can ne a rather nervous time for you.

I think you're best to see a doctor, just say to your dad that one of your testicles are hurting, surely that isn't going to make him think "you've been masturbating!" I think you are better off just to go see a doctor, saves all this fussing and worrying, just go and get it checked, it really is the best thing to do. And at the end of the day - what's worse, having some medical issue unresolved that could get worse, or your dad knowing you masturbate, I would take my health over that

Okay guys, I'm getting really worried and sweaty while reading all of this. Anyways, I guess I'll be waiting two more days before telling my dad; I understand that my health is more important than him finding out that I masturbate. Do you guys think that the two days wait is a good idea?
Also, because the pain is not in one area, I'm thinking that it might be something muscular. May waist hurts, especially when I try to take a dump (sorry for saying that). My brother says it must be a muscle and that I should just wait. Thoughts?
Thanks a lot guys, you guys have really encouraged me to talk to my dad about it. Thanks.

ok, i'm just gonna basically say the same thing as everyone else.
first, your parents know you masturbate. they aren't stupid, are they?
second, go see your doctor. that's why you have a doctor. he's the best person to figure out what's going on .
