First Shave

Today I shaved for the first time and it felt great for a little while but it is now rough. I used a normal razor with nothing else and didn't use moisturizer or anything what is this normal?

Yes it is normal, don't panic about it. I shave but not often.

I used to keep it natural and bushy but now I trim it short.

Its normal. However you need to actually use moisturiser after shaving to keep the skin hydrated and therefore preventing it becoming dry and itchy.

It's usually bumpy and every time I used to shave it would be super itchy

I usually trim mine short but like three days ago I shaved mine in the shower and now it's growing back so it's rough too. It does feel good, right?
