My name is Cooper, I'm a 17 year old junior in highschool living in Oregon. I have been dating the same wonderful girl for over 2 years now, have a little sister who is 6 months younger than me (really a half-sister, awkward situation) she's the one I always refer to as my sister, I also have a brother who is 21 and a sister who is 24. In my younger years I was physically and emotionally abused, something pretty common in my family. My older siblings somehow made it thru fine, but my little sister was emotionally, physically, and sexually abused. I feel like abused people attract eachother, because my girlfriend was also abused physically, emotionally and sexually. So we're our little trio of support. I stumbled upon this site looking for more people like us, and I wasn't sure at first if I liked it but I think I do, I like what is going on here!
I'm really into things like mountain biking, running, working on cars, and fixing computers but right now I am recovering from breaking my back, again, for the third time. This is partially caused by scoliosis, and has caused a bigger issue with scoliosis. The real break this time though was due to a car accident about a month ago...I'm a deceptively large guy, I'm about 6'4" and 145lbs, so I appear pretty skinny but there is a large amount of muscle there too. About 18 months ago I started my own company which has been an awesome adventure that is actually working out much better than expected!
I like to think if you met me and I never told you, it wouldn't be obvious that I was ever abused unless you saw the scars, but I'm pretty open about it. Looking forward to meeting some new people and talking about things!
