I was thinking of coming out to my family about being bi. any advice on how to bring it up or how to tell them?

Okay. There are two ways to do this.
- Drop it like the F bomb.
- Or sit them down and be serious.

Don't drop it like the F bomb. That just knocks people even more offguard than saying you're bi in the first place.
So sit your parents, or siblings, or family, or whoever you're telling first, and say "Look. You're my family, and I hope you will still love me after this, because it doesn't make me a different person than I was. I'm bisexual. If you guys have any questions, please ask them."
Then just let them stare for a minute. If they need an explanation, offer it. Then go with any questions they have.
