Question for guys that shave their pubes. When you've gone to the doctors for a physical, did the doctor ask you about why you shave down there?

I started shaving last fall and haven't had a physical since then. I've got one coming up soon and am a little nervous the doctor might say something about why I do it. Yea, I know its my business, but it still could be a little embarrassing. Some of my friends shave to, so I normally don't care what people think. But the doctor....hmmm. What's it been like you guys?

I had a physical right after I trimmed short and the doctor didn't say anything and my older brother had his at the same time and he shaves smooth and the doctor didn't have any reaction at all. I think especially with high school and college guys at least around here that enough guys shave their pubes that doctors are used to it and don't really think anything of it.

It's normal. He won't say anything about it more than likely.

He wont care! Hes a doctor and it's his job, he has seen so many of all different shapes and sizes and hair amount that yours wont be any different! I really wouldnt worry about it and plus if youre wearing a longer shirt, it may cover the top of your crotch if hes only checking for hernias and he may not even see your pubes!

Don't sweat it. those doctors have probably seen over hundreds of penises in those physicals. odds are they wont ask. I trim my pubes and had a physical almost a week ago and she didnt ask.

A doctor told me that about 60% of his teen patients at least trim their pubes.

Shaving your pubes is a personal choice like shaving your face.
Your doctor is neither going to comment nor going to judge

My doctor told me to shave my pubes! He said that during football season sense my pubes were so thick that I should shave to keep it clean and to prevent weird Bacteria from growing.

He probably predicts that you shave or trim anyway, most teenagers do these days. I doubt he'll say anything though, as there's no medical implications to doing it.

Well doctors see a lot of odd things so I doubt you having your pubes shaved is anything particularly strange and I doubt he will say anything to you! But we don't have physicals in England!

I shadow a doctor in the OR and you see everything. there are always shocks but i dont think youd be the first shaved person a doctor would see! lol. it would have to be something totally outrageous for it to be new.

Don't worry dude I was freaking out the first time I totally shaved and had to go to the doctors, but the doc didn't say a thing and was totally normal. TBH i got more of a reaction after PE class in the change rooms dude.
So don't stress, the doc ain't care and won't say a thing about it.
