Why is there a limit of PMs Someone can have do staff and admins have a limit?

Because every single PM has to be stored on the server and VT doesn't have an unlimited server space.

I'm pretty sure it's 2,500 for every user.

I know jailed users can only have 50, however.

It's 1000 for me and 2500 on govteen. I just delete mine as and when it's needed

I actually don't know the numbers for sure, but you start out with 1,000, and then eventually (2500 posts maybe?) get increased to the 2500. And yeah, staff have larger inboxes, however we do have a limit and it's not unlimited.

The limit is because of server space, as said already.

I didn't know storage space goes up :O

I remember when I was on staff, I could store 10,000.
I had to delete like 2,000 PMs :P
