.The ledge of his balcony was nestled amongst the burning stars
as if he owned the night.
Empty and unarmored in a world at war,
his hands grasped the icy air in search for the light
as he leapt for the ultimate flight.

This was just, uhm, an experiment. It didn't so much turn out the way I wanted, but they never seem to.... >_>
I wasn't sure whether or not I should put a trigger warning in the title, as it is dealing with suicide.

:)It's great! It's short, but gets a lot across. There's an oxymoron I like to use describing things as simple yet complex. This poem's a great example, in that even though it's short, there are so many layers of thought underneath. :)
