So, there's this guy in my class, and I'm not sure (cause I hardly know him). But I think he's gay.
And being gay myself, I know how hard it can be to come out, so I'd like to see if I can help him, BUT I don't know how to bring it up, especially seeing as how I don't know him!
Also he might also end up being straight or at least lie, you know?

So what I'm asking is, as a STRAIGHT guy how would u feel if u were asked, and if your GAY, how do u think you would react, or how would u like to be asked, or would u like to be asked at all?!
also any ideas on how to bring it up at all up?! :L.

Well i think it's OK to ask if for 2 reasons. One is you want to ask them out. The one you give is also legit and you should probably mention being gay yourself, that might get an honest answer and not cause panic.

Cause in my experience being asked this by str8 guys means they want to out you and ruin your life basically. If i know someone gay is asking then i would be thrilled to have that kind of help. So make your intentions clear and then just ask.

Get to know him. You'll be able to make a better judgement about whether he's gay or not. ANd then maybe you guys can move even furher

1st of all, he does stuff that reminds me of, well, me basically, and I've seen how he acts around some other lads, and well everything just kinda gives me the indication u know.
And 2nd of all any ideas on how to get to know him? I was thinking of "accidentally" messaging him on facebook and then going, "well as we're here...." blah blah blah etc, U know? What u think? Or any other ideas

Don't assume! Assuming hurts, because nobody wants to know that somebody thought you were something without even KNOWING you.

I would honestly probably lie if any guy I knew asked me that. I have huge trust issues and I have no desire to be treated poorly or differently by any of the guys I know because of my sexual orientation.

I swear when people know stuff like that it's like they think you grew an extra limb or something and treat you like a mutant.

I was asked if I was gay before I came out as gay/ bi, but let me tell you it was super awkward and embarrassing for me cause I wasn't ready to come out. I personally would leave him be, but if you are going to ask him, for god's sake don't ask him in public.

It is very nice that you want to help him but he might not be ready to come out (He might not even be gay!) If someone came up to me and asked if I was gay I'd say no (Probably in an awkward fashion that woumd indicate that I am infact gay). Again its nice that you want to help him but don't ask him, it seems like your forcing him out of the closet.

Just start talking get to no him talk about girls see how he acts then change it to guys when get to no him, play few games see were it goes

Ok yeah, thanks alot, I think I'll try to get to know him better, see what he's like a bit more personal, if u know what I mean . And don't worry I deffonatly won't be asking him in public, or in anyway that could embaress him.
