View Full Version : Realistic Dream car

Yes, your dream car is multi-hundred thousand dollars out of your price range. So given you have a very limited choice, What's your dream car? Mine is a black 2013 Cadilac. (Not saying I can afford that, oh no)
Fanta_Lover44
June 6th, 2013, 02:59 PM
My proper dream car would be a range rover sport 2013. My more realistic car would be 2009,2010 model. Has to be used as i doubt i could even afford a new one....

Realistically? Well I'm saving and making money now, and in 2 years I'd love to buy a 2005/2006 Pontiac GTO with low miles and a 6-speed manual. Its a stretch but I think I can get there.
In the future? I'd love to buy a Ford Raptor and a Shelby GT500. Both shouldn't be an issue to afford with the money I should be making a few years after college.

Mercedes CLA45 AMG. Its quite realistic.

Either an E46 BMW M3 or an E39 BMW M5. Both can be had in pristine condition for less than $30,000. So that is pretty realistic.

Realistically, a Ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn which I should be able to afford in a couple years (even less if I decided to finance it but I hate the idea of financing anything lol) I also on getting some project cars to restore in the future.

June 10th, 2013, 12:34 AM
For a while I thought I wanted a Subaru WRX STi, and so I swapped an STI engine into my 1997 Subaru Legacy, which is pretty fun, and close enough to an STI for me. So I guess from here it would be a Mini Cooper S, completely built though, or a 4 door Jeep Wrangler, maybe a Ford Raptor but I'd rather have a Dodge Ram 2500 diesel

If Cadillac screws up the new Escalade design, then I will be buying a 2013 black on black Cadillac Escalade Luxury edition. This is my top dawg. ;)
Other future rides include a 2010 Lincoln MKS EcoBoost (with the appearance package) or a 2013 Chrysler 300C Luxury Series with the 3.6L V6. As much as I'd like the Hemi, the Escalade is bad enough on gas already. :P
Summer cars include a 2011-2014 Dodge Challenger R/T or SRT (haven't decided yet) and a 1967 Lincoln Continental sedan.
I'll be buying a 2006 Cadillac DTS Performace model in the next couple years, and that's always been a favorite of mine. :)

I'm hoping that once my dads Panamera lease expires next month I can convince him to lease the new Maserati Ghibli next. Its quite cheap compared to the rest of the Maser lineup at 75,000 putting it into the right price range. Then I can give him my car and drive his sometimes ;)

Yes, it has such a refined sound and because it's a V6, it weighs less at the nose so there's much better handling. The interior quality is amazing too.

im gunna say this lol but the v8 for the explorer is better because they have so many engine upgrades because its the same engine as the mustang of that year. My engine is the v8 as the 06 mustang so there superchargers and turbos and everything for it lol its awesome

Yeah, never turn down a V8 but it's the older v8. The 3.5L V6 Twin-Turbo is a great companion to the explorer, because of weight and handling. It's more composed than the older V8 explorer and let's just say "mature"

Yeah for sure but turbos are pricey to replace about 1.2k per turbo if it was a single turbo yeah np but twin turbo mehhh lol. I was looking at the new 2014 subaru forester xt for my mom but the 2014 has a 2L twin turbo (same engine as the brz) and the 2013 down has a 2.5L single turbo with the same amount of power.

Actually self driving cars are already here. For examplr the Google Street view car(s). Of course there's a human being watching if something goes wrong, but computer driven vehicles can be safer, because they see everything, they can calculate speeds etc.
But my car..? I think it would be mustang or something like that

Current love what my my parents drive, dad has a 2012 Audi A7 3.0T Prestige and my mom drives a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover. I like the land river more because when both my mom, dad and I are in the car it's bigger. We can also fit the dog in there where the A7 it's next to impossible. We've done it once in the latter. But I think my dream car would be a 2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder in Suzuka Gray, which isn't really gray more like white.

As far as reasonable thinking goes... a very specific red 1986 Chevrolet Z-28 Convertible named 'Zeddie' comes to mind... sadly, it doesn't exist anymore. But that is as new as I go.
