I've been there once and it was great, I loved the places and people.
When I think of it the first thing I think of is always the mafia though :D

The culture in Italy is really nice. But the food is unmatchable.

The birth place of Roman Empire. One of the main centers of culture in Europe and rival of Parthian and Sassanid Empire during the ancient era.A great country like Persia.

I was in Naples (Napoli) last summer. I also went to Rome. It was beautiful! I loved it! I took a day cruise on the Amalfi Coast. We stopped in Positano and Sorrento. All I have to say is a great view and a great culture!! I love your country! :D :)

Interesting history, besicly they turn bi the wind.
Expanding land on the acount of nations not as well conected with the big powers.
They do tend to not respect the rights of minoraties.
aniway lots of bad things, but they also have some good things.
Like for example the people who are relatively nice and nice countriside.

Italy has such a rich and long history and influenced so many things we take for granted. While I'd love to visit, I'd rather try to take in as much as possible and live there for a year during or after college. So basically, Italy is awesome! Be proud of your nation.

Best country in the world. My family is from Sicily, I love everything Sicilian, then Italian. I love how traditional Sicily is, and the Sicilian culture.

your leader was terrible, you have the Italian mafia, so your police are bad but you have nice weather

I have spent many months in Italy through different visits. Puerto Cervo on Sardinia, Punta Ala, and then on to Corsica, Palma Mallorca, Cann, Nice and St. Tropez. I know all of those are not Italy and they are the beauty spots but I liked it very much. The Italians were friendlier then the French to me. Just my opinion but I also speak Spanish and Italian much better then French so maybe that was it.

Good now, but about WW1 until the Cold War, It had a terribly dark history.

I love so many things about Italy. Their culture, history and traditions seem to be very interesting. And the country itself is great for tourism and has pretty good economy.

Invented Fascism pretty much, fought terribly in WW2, massive corruption problems, massive mafia problem as well. Otherwise it seems okay

A nice country for summer and winter holidays. Rich history. The people are good.

What I do not like:

Invented fascism- the movement was a joke.
Middle Ages- Renaissance Catholic Church debauchery.
Infrastructure problems.

Overrall, I would visit it again and, probably live if I knew Italian a bit better.
