Silent Hill, sure its not a classic but it sucked, it needs to respect its video game counterpart.

Dawn of the Dead could also use a remake.

Dawn of the Dead just had a remake a few years ago.

Well I agree that many of the recent remakes have been entertaining (Halloween, Friday 13th, Texas Chainsaw), I'd much rather writers try and come up with new creative horror movies.
I get sick of all the sequels, but things like Saw, Paranormal Activity, House of a 1000 Corpses at least brought some fresh perspective to the genre.

Halloween and Halloween 2 already had remakes in the last 5 years.

i like to see a reboot of scream! either a remake or a whole new story but keeps the aspect of the horror cliche feel to it (should not be like scream 4 it sucked)

and/or a REMAKE of nightmare on elm street not a new story like they made in 2010,i wish they just copy every thing in the first movie and just modern-ized it i like to see johnny depps death scene there ahahaha

I disagree. Movies doesn't have to follow the videogame's canon. Resident Evil looks great without venturing towards the VG's canon. And this is coming from a gamer fan of both series. The directors did their best to stay true to the game.

Also, this is not CG.

We need a new wave of psychological and surreal horror movies. Damn this genre is dying.

Not sure. Maybe a new version of Psycho, but given the nature of the movie business, they'd probably butcher it, no pun intended.

The director's stayed true to the game in the crappiest way possible. In fact, they spanned a shitty game (Silent Hill Homecoming) because of this movie. You do not put pyramid head for pyramid head's sake, that monster is part of James. What made the videogames so great was the storyline, and that miserably failed in both movies, along with a setting that seems like you've already seen all of it.

Well I thought The Haunting In Connecticut would be a wicked movie to redo, but then I saw they were making a number two, and it looks so bad. so I withdraw that opinion.

I've only seen Poltureguise (not sure if you spell it like that), and I bet if it's remade it will be even more scary! haha
