All that underlined text really hurts my eyes.
It's really depressing to hear that his daughter was killed. To be honest though, just because something happened to him doesn't mean it should be banned. Just because people die from smoking, doesn't mean it should be banned.
In fact it's a bit like saying, just because someone is overweight, chocolate should be banned. And the fact he's been performing them for years doesn't make his argument a very good one.

As awful as the article makes abortion sound, abortions are legal as long as they're performed in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy in some states, and in others it's available only if the child compromises the mothers health or if it's a result of rape. I think these conditions are extremely fair.
These "partial-birth" abortions were made illegal in 1995. This man is fighting for a cause that's already been fulfilled.

Abortions are gruesome- if they're performed that late. Even he noted the difference in size and look between the first trimester and the period in which he was performing the abortions.
Late abortions, when the fetus becomes vital, are when abortions shouldn't be legal to perform. The first 12 weeks is more than enough time.
In the event of a pregnancy compromising the mother's health, I think it should be left to the medical professionals to determine whether or not it's best for her.
