View Full Version : Seriously Pushy Mum

Right, so I'm a home-educated kid, who is currently doing his IGCSE's. My Mum is my "teacher", if that's how you want to put it. She has to make sure that I study enough to pass my exams.
My problem is, that amount that I have to study can vary, on a day to day basis. Now, my Dad is a pretty level headed bloke, and remids us that if I do fail an exam, it's not the end of the world, and I can just re-sit it, and all will be fine and dandy.
My Mum sometimes shares this view, and say's that it's important that I get some decent R and R time. Other times, like today, she can get very pushy and she yells and rants and raves and get's very very angry saying I'm not working hard enough and I'm going to flunk an it's all really really serious... and I put up with it... mostly...

So don't know where stand anymore. :what:
I have no idea how much work is enough, without being too much, and I'm sick of constantly trying to guess, and then paying the price when I get it wrong.
My exam's are over next week. Do I confront my Mum, or just grit my teeth and bear it 'till the end of the week?

Confront your mom, but not as if you are angry with her. Moms often get like that but you don't want to get them more angry then they already are (LOL)
