I'm 15 and 5'3 or 5'4 my doctor says I will be about 5'7 when I am full grown. Although I could be anyware from 5'6 to 5'11. Does that sound right I mean both my brothers were arund my height at 15 no taller or shorter then an inch. Now they are both full grown and one 5'7 and the other is 5'8. My dad however, was also the same height at my age and ended up at 5'11 after growing 4 inches from high school. I mean is 5'7 really that short for a guy? How tall do you think I will be?

Im not sure... Im 15 and abo 5'5", and just as tall if not taller than many girls at my school, and most of them are done growing (in height anyway). I wouldn't worry about it too much, even if you are on the short side for where you are, there will always be ppl shorter. (go to Hollister, when i was like 4" i felt huge)

I guess you could say that 5,7 is fairly short for a fully grown man, theirs not much you can do about how tall you are, just be happy with the way your god made you and try to live life to the best.

its not really tall, but its not that short either, especially if you get near that 5' 11" area.

Its not that short. I have actually noticed that people are either getting shorter or taller in our population but its not that short because im 5'7 and there are some like senior guys that are the same if not shorter than me.

Listen, you are what you are. And when it comes to height, there's not much you can do about it, anyway. However, it sounds like your doctor told you something that's upset/worried you (why, oh why, do they do that?). A couple of things to keep in mind as you stress out about this. First, the only sure way of determining how tall you'll be is by taking an X Ray of your hand and seeing how much growth plate there is. If he didn't do this, then he was guestimating by looking at those imprecise charts they use. So, what he said wasn't necessarily too precise.
Second, height is determined by genetics. If your dad is 5'11", that would mean that you have the possibility of inheriting that 5'11" gene (regardless of your brother's height, remember Gregor Mendel and the pea studies in genetics?).

I'm about average for an adult at 5'10'' so your fine. As long as you eat healthy you should grow and be about average hight. I don't know if this is right but i've heard that wieghtlifting stops growth.

Doctor's, from when you're born, can tell you how tall you will be when fully grown.

Only if you stick to a balanced diet etc, etc. But theres nothing you can do to make yourself taller, but without having a healthy diet, can only make you shorter.

No one will be able to fully tell you how tall you will be, they can give you an estimate though.

5'7" is not really that short. Everything from diet/ethnicity/parents/sleep goes into how tall you will be, therefore when the doctor said you would be "5 feet 7 inches" that is an estimate. ANYWAYS, you are the way you are, and you can not change that. Be happy with who you are, and just make the best of it. You probably have a lot of attibutes that others would be jelous of, so pull those forth and kind of forget about those which may be lesser. If you are confident and proud of yourself/body, it will shine through to everyone around you and make you appear as though you are "taller" (in a metaphoric sense). I mean, imagine if everyone just payed attention to the things they didnt like about themselves. We would not be able to grow as people, therefore would be stuck in a frozen time machine. I dont know where I am going with this, but just be proud of who you are and everyone will be able to see that.

Hope this helps?

The average height for an adult male is like 5'9. Or at least I think it is. I am almost 16 and already 6'1 so I am tall for my age. I'm probably only gonna grow an inch or 2 more if even that.
