I'm almost 16 and I am a pretty far stage through puberty. But I still haven't had a wet dream. I masturbate regularly is this why or is it something else.

That is indeed why.

A boy only has wet dreams because his testicles are over filled with sperm, so his brain gives him a dream that makes him cum to get rid of the build up, before his balls explode I guess :).

Masturbating justs lowers your sperms, so there won't be much build-up for wet dreams

That's basically it. I've mainy heard wet dreams, when the body's initially got to that stage, and boys haven't figured out masturbation yet, and the body releases it during a very interesting dream. Or when you still have that initial high levels of hormones and havent masturbated in a few days.

this is pretty normal, a guy who masturbates regularly generally wont have one

Probably normal. I haven't had a wet dream since I started jerking off.

You probably masturbate too much, I do know guys who masturbate multiple times a day and still get wet dreams

That's a good explanation, Evan.....a little blunt, but good. Lol
I'd say that the balls exploding part was a little too much for someone who is eating, but otherwise good. Haha

Many people seem to view having a wet dream as a development milestone but the real milestone is the ability to ejaculate however that happens, whether through a wet dream or through masturbation. One can only assume that for many people masturbating is still sufficiently taboo that they don't mention it as the more likely way to discover the ability to ejaculate and mention wet dreams instead.

It has been suggested that wet dreams happen when your cum has built up to the point that everything inside is full and therefore you body needs to release it but this doesn't fit reality as cum volume seems to reach a peak in less than a week but most guys who have tried abstaining from masturbating to get a wet dream have found it to take more than a week of not ejaculating to get one.

Others suggest that it is due to the age of the sperm, i.e. that once most of the sperm waiting to be ejaculated are old or dead the body triggers a wet dream to get rid of them so they can be replaced with fresh ones. Still others think it is completely neurological, i.e. that the brain simply wants the orgasm and that it has nothing to do with cum buildup or sperm age.

Regardless of the cause masturbating regularly tends to make wet dreams less likely. Most guys who masturbate regularly don't have wet dreams though a few do. Most guys discover they can ejaculate from masturbating rather than from a wet dream and from then until they have the opportunity for sex most guys release all their cum by masturbating.

Wet dreams are basically to get rid of unused semen, so if you masturbate regularly then you won't have any unused semen, therefore you won't have any wet dreams.
