View Full Version : I've lost weight. Please tell me if this is a problem

So, I've made threads before. I eat 1-2 meals a day, with small snacks, blah blah blah. Food makes my stomach feel sick, the food tastes disgusting, I'm rarely hungry. Do I think I'm skinnny? Yes. Do I think I'm fat? A little. Do I skip meals to lose weight? I try my hardest not to. I make myself eat, even when I'm not hungry.
My Dad once said our scale was broken, because his weight was incorrect. Mine has always been correct. About a year ago(Age 15, 5'6''), I went to the Doctor and was weighed at around 99 pounds(They never said anything if it's bad or not)
I'm 16 now, and 14 days ago(That's an exact date. I think it was around that a week and a half ago), my scale said I weighed 97 pounds. I didn't want to gain weight, but I didn't want to lose weight, either. Tonight, my scale says 94 pounds. A part of me is happy.(The part that still wants to lose "just a couple more pounds")
Most foods honestly discust me. I'm left feeling sick to my stomach. I can't make myself eat any more than I am. But, I'm losing weight. And enjoying it. In all honesty, Bikini season is coming up, and when I look in the mirror, I think that I want to lost "Just a couple more pounds" I read that the average weight for my age/height is 130. I'm less than a 100, losing weight, wanting to lose more.
I don't want to end up like one of those girls who thinks she's okay, and doesn't realize she's in trouble until she wakes up in the hospital.
I want honest opinions. Is this a problem? Or, am I just being over dramatic over a few pounds? Sorry guys. I know I'm probably annoying you with my constant posts. lol I just trust your judgement, a lot more than my own. :P

It sounds like a problem to me. I would get some help from a counsellor/doctor asap.

It sort of seems like a problem, you're obsessing over it already. Body requirement is 3 meals a day, and why don't you get some better food? The way you're describing it makes it seem bland and disgusting. At least try to choke down something during the 3 meal times, since it's for your own health.
In regards to bikini season, I don't think guys would like to see a skeleton thin girl at the beach, hmm? Some curves are good on a girl too, y'know.
Stay away from the scale. Just looking at it could be affecting your brain, and that could persuade you to stop eating or something..

GURL, LISTEN HERE.
Curves. Are. Hot.
So don't be thinkin' you need to be a skinny whippet of a thing to get the guys. Curves, albeit in the right places, are beautiful. So step away from the scales, try to have something at every meal, and seek help. I'm sure you're beautiful anyway.

i think you already know that this is a problem. that "just a few more pounds" thought train is dangerous and addictive. please try to fight these thoughts. try to find foods that don't make you feel sick, maybe try some new foods, or even cooking. please know that weight is an arbitrary measurement that was created to quantify objects. you are not an object, your weight doesn't define you, losing weight will not make you sexier, more valuable, more worthy of love. it can become an addiction, an obsession.
please try not to worry about the number on the scale. it doesn't even measure you accurately. it doesn't account for muscle, water retention, etc. it can't measure how much you care or are cared for. it can't measure how much you are loved, because those things can't be measured.
all that scale can tell you, is how much gravity pulls on you. the numbers were invented, the scale is man-made and flawed.

Thanks guys. I'm trying to get better. It's just really hard. I don't even get hungry that often anymore, so it's getting harder to force myself to eat. Ah. I'll try though.

You're seriously underweight! This is definitely a problem. You BMI is dangerously low and the fact that you think you're "a little" fat is seriously worrying.
Please seek help. This is hurting you.

have you ever tried any fruits for you to eat, they are vary healthy for you. some fruits (like apples) help you digestion system to carry any toxins out of the body. Fruits have fructose (type of sugar) which does not need insulin when it enters the blood stream. And it's not refined sugar or factory made, its natural so its will sit in your stomach well.

People here don't know much. The person that said you need at least 3 meals a day is talking poop. You can have as many meals as you want it all comes down to calories you are a girl and so you will need at least 2000 calories a day this can be achieved by eating anything you want during the day. Your body fat is not low bodybuilders go to about 3% body fat and they are fine they maintain it around 8% after competition as well. You are a girl and will have a higher body fat than men but even female bodybuilders get to around 8% they are fine. Not fine looking too much muscle ha ha. Just get your 2000 calories a day by eating anything you want :)!

DUDE! there is a difference between eating 2000 calories of hamburgers and 2000 of fruit. The nutrient intake. there are essential vitamins and minerals that the body needs the live/operate correctly, you cant just eat what ever. If you want to feel better, you eat the foods that give energy. High calorie foods DOSE NOT equal you having high energy.

~Update~
I've tried to get better. I eat, when I'm hungry. I'm now around 91.5 pounds. I don't understand this at all. I'm not intentionally starving myself. What's going to happen to me if I continue to lose weight? :/ I told myself that I would try to reach at least 95 pounds. 100 pounds would be better. But, I just keep going down in weight ._.
