Pads or Tampons?

Do you girls use pads or tampons, and why?

Pads for convenience. I don't have any opportunities to replace tampons during the day. The only time I'll wear tampons is if I absolutely need to, like if I'm going swimming or something.

Tampons because that's what my family prefers and it seems less bulky -- it's less messy -- easier to carry and dispose of. Also -- better for when playing sports.

i used to use tampons (though it took awhile to figure out how to put them in right, they hurt a lot before then) but then i started to get yucky infections almost every three or four months it seemed, and the doctor explained that a tampon forces bacteria further up and keeps it there, so now i just use pads for that reason and the convenience unless i swim

Pads because I had an internal injury caused by tampons, and I almost ended up on the operating table.

I alternate, depending on what I'm doing. I try not to wear tampons too much though, and change them every couple hours, to avoid infections and stuff.

I use tampons if I have to, like for swimming, but I prefer to use pads as tampons tend to give me stomachaches (I'm probably just not putting them in right) and I always worry I'm going to get TSS :/

I'm the same. I play way to many sports to use pads. Also I think they are much more comfortable. If anything is comfortable :)

I just find and consider tampons to be so much more convenient, and on personal note, more hygienic.

Pads always feel weird no matter how slim they are. Tampons are easier and feel less icky.

I would loove to use tampons, I hate pads with a passion, but my mom says I'm too young for them, wtf. Can't even go swimming.

pads, I find tampons less comfortable really, and the toxic shock risk (however small) freaks me out a little bit, I can wear them if I have to but I just generally choose not to
