The keeping it on seems slightly strange to me and not something I have ever considered doing though, as usual with things like that, each to his own.

I do believe it is worth practising putting a condom on before you have sex for the first time so when that opportunity comes, you're excited and a little under pressure that is one less thing to be concerned about.

Having got it on you may as well wank with it on to see what that feels like rather than just take it off again. If you like it you can do it regularly, though you'd have to work out how you will get and dispose of them, and if you don't you don't have to do it again.
